    We stayed at the Kyriad while in Lyon for the Rugby World Cup. The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable, however, while it is rated a 4-star hotel we found some items of furniture and general areas were dated and in need of replacement with carpet stained, refrigerator not cold and upholstery on our chair falling off.While the location was good for access to the stadium via car (9 minutes) and the airport (15 minutes) it was terrible in relation to public transport and was isolated if you did not have a car with no access to shops, attractions or restaurants in walking distance. What was incredible about the hotel were the staff (reception and bar) who were friendly, informative and very helpful. Specifically a young woman on reception who provided us with all the information we needed at check in (without any prompting) and helped us with all our needs with a cheerful attitude, making us feel very welcome.     Understaffed, underpayed, underavrage….. Accept the price To much money for to little. Our room was not availlble till 16:30. Staff was still cleaning at 16:30. Check inn was at 15:00. Service is bad. And the restaurant was not open on a sunday.     The guy in charge of the night shift (Eliman or something like this?) can teach hotels around Lyon how to manage walk-in clients. He is excellent and talked me into booking his facility when my plane was cancelled. Rarely saw such customer attention.This was the opportunity to discover the hotel and the location. Excellent bedding quality and bathroom amenities.Highly recommended.     Good hotel - convenient, clean, friendly. Positive difference for us was having a restaurant on site - very nice dinner and breakfast; friendly staff. Easy to book online - but one star off because we couldn't access the Family Offer advertised on the website, so had to pay full price for 2 rooms.     Customer attention is very good. At the restaurant and at the welcome desk. Good food and very good breakfast. By the way, I would have appreciate fried eggs, sausages and baked beans.Good location next to Eurexpo. Nice spa and swimming pool.
