    Going back in time

    rating02 Aug 2018

Thankfully just one night here. Whilst it was in a heat wave it just accentuated there being no air con in the room and I only managed 2 hours sleep. That aside the room was compact and the bathroom even smaller. Devour is essentially brown and everything feels like it would have been hip in the 70’s. Communal areas are not a strong point either. Overall I’ve paid much less for much better. Staff were pleasant but clearly overworked.

    A pleasant stay

    rating28 Apr 2017

I had originally written this hotel off as a place to stay after reading some of the reviews from last year, but we found ourselves outside the place by accident really after finding two other places full or inaccessible on a very wet evening.Yes, the staff were a little informal, but they were pleasant and accommodating. We checked in with ease having been equipped with restaurant times etc and a menu written in English, German and French. The room was comfortable, clean and fresh. When we got to the restaurant for dinner it took a couple of minutes to be seated, but the place was pretty much full. We ordered pizzas, mainly because they were being cooked in front of us in the pizza oven and we had some "Maison frittes" on the side with a beer and some wine. The meal was served promptly and was delicious - the restaurant only emptying out at closing time. The menu focussed on pizzas and meat dishes but there were other options too, including a buffet. We slept well on comfy beds and the shower was clean and efficient. Breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of good quality choice. Checkout was simpl and the cost for 2 including dinner and breakfast was 110 euros. I am glad we came across the Logis because it was a very enjoyable stay. There were lots of young people on the staff and they were all keen to please and were, as far as I could tell, well managed. Thank you Logis.

Having made a booking, and given my cc details, I arrived to a locked hotel. A notice saying the restaurant was shut. The ATM like machine on an external wall would not recognise my booking ref. A group of Dutch were in the same quandary. How can a hotel be shut at 6 on a Friday evening? Desperate!

Don't stay here if you're English

    rating12 Oct 2016

Before this hotel changed from the Comfort Inn to its current owners it was a really good place to stay. I've been staying here for over 12 years but 2 years ago (2014) the service had gone down hill. I was shouted at by one of the staff for reasons best known to that staff member. Not a good start for the new management. Having avoided the hotel last year (2015) I thought give it another try. Mistake. Certain staff members went out of their way to make it difficult I feel because we were English, not because we spoke English but because we were English. The service is out of control here. If you want to feel unwelcome, get the worst rooms, be shouted at and have a thoroughly horrible stay then this is the place for you. If you want anything else then avoid this place and go somewhere where the the management care about the customer service. It's unlikely (despite its convenient location) I will ever stay here again.

Not a place to go if you want polite restaurant staff

    rating26 May 2016

We arrived, four ladies in a car, nine friends to arrive by motorbike. We checked in ok but after that it went downhill. The place seemed to be staffed by two or three young people who had a group friends in the outside bar, getting their attention was difficult and getting them to understand our drinks order well nigh impossible. I speak pretty good French but they pretended not to understand and smirked at one another. We eventually got our (wrong) drinks but were too fed up to send them back. When the bikers arrived we thought they may get some respect but that was a sad hope. Warm white wine after seven hours riding a motorcycle in very hot weather. No thanks. Don't go there .
