Location

The hotel is situated 10 minutes from the city centre and 5 minutes from the Part Dieu train station, right in the heart of the Montplaisir business district and 200 meters from the Lumière brothers' extraordinary house. Place Bellecour and Old Lyon in the city centre are just 10 minutes away on the direct metro line.

The hotel has a lift and features 78 rooms, including 16 single rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service and a safe ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     No air conditioning in the room in May.

    This hotel does NOT have air conditioning in the rooms as they state that it's too early in the year to turn it on. This is misleading advertising when they state they have AC but do NOT provide the months that it works in the rooms. I now get to spend the next 12 days in a warm room for my vacation. Cracking a window does provide some relief however, now I hear traffic during the time that I am supposed to be sleeping. Takes 7-10 days for a refund and I will not shell out another $1500 for a hotel when THIS one should provide what it advertises....so I am stuck. Mercure ......this is terrible service and you should make AC dates clear on the advertising of this hotel. I will not use Mercure in any way in the future.

    This hotel is a chain It’s not 4 star more like a kind 3 starWhat the rooms on the Second floor fail gets made up by the pleasant and helpful staffMy first room smelt of wet dog in which I complained and was given another room promptly Unfortunately it was a disability room, which I didn’t mind just that the shower was off putting and the water pressure was pitiful

    We had a very bad experience in this hotel.We arrived at around 8..30pm to find the restaurant already closed. We thus had to get a pizza from across the street.It is worth asking for the drinks menu before ordering drinks (assuming they have such a menu). The restaurant looks like a canteen but the prices they charge for beer and wine give the impression you are in a top restaurant.The bill needs careful checking as they added an extra pet to our bill. This was our first time in this hotel; we definitely will not return.

    Had one night in the hotel, the room was clean and tidy and fairly modern. Really clean and modern bathroom. Well worth the money. Would have been helpful if there was hot food available at night but as it wasn’t I went out and had a lovely meal in one of the many restaurants in Lyon.

    Location-wise I'm not sure - it really depends on what you are in Lyon for probably. Should be easy enough to get into the city center, though for a tourist I would probably only choose this place because of price as it's not really in the center.This looks like a bit of an older Mercure - at least the rooms - but nothing could be faulted on the service. Very nice people at check-in / check-out. Seemed like a noisy hotel downstairs in the lobby every time (people having a good time I'm sure) but it was quiet enough in the room. The room was quite nice too, bit of a special layout but I like that. Good bed, good wifi, good enough bathroom.Would I go back? If I had to be near it, definitely would. Though it wasn't so exceptional that I wouldn't also look at other places before deciding :)
