  Great location, comfortable rooms and incredibly accommodating staff with a fantastic local knowledge! We arrived late on a Friday and had an issue with our room booking (our issue not the hotels) that they swiftly dealt with.   Great small hotel! Renovated and clean. Lovely people work there! Good location!One not such a good are the thin walls…you can hear things. But it’s not a deal breaker for the reasonable price that they charge.   Super helpful staff, clean hotel and rooms, lovely linen. We were going to bring a dog but didn’t in the end but they provided food and water bowls and a bed. There was also a leaflet in the room giving details of all the dog walks to go on.   I am writing this review to warn future travelers about the booking process

  I want to share my experience trying to book this hotel to help other travelers prepare and protect themselves.The First Attempt: I booked directly on their website and received a confirmation. The next day, I was called and told the payment didn't go through. The booking was cancelled.The Second Attempt: I tried again with a different card. Once again, I received a confirmation and arrival instructions. A day later, I got an email saying it failed again.The Red Flag: The email asked me to click a link to pay, but the link did not display the hotel's name. In an era of online phishing and scams, this was a major security concern for me.The "Resolution": When I called to explain, the hotel apologised but took no responsibility for their system. Instead, they offered me a room at the current last-minute rate (which had spiked), offering a "discount" that was still 25% more expensive than my original booking.I understand that IT glitches happen, but penalizing the customer for your own faulty payment portal is poor business practice. If you plan to stay here, protect your data and your reservation by booking through a major third-party travel platform instead of the hotel's direct website.   Small Hotel, good position between railway station and city centre. Rooms very clean, no noise.
