    NEVER AGAIN

    rating22 Dec 2019

We booked through Hays Travel. Included serviced Room and Breakfast. When we arrived we were told we did not have Breakfast, showed them the booking invoice and finally she just gave us the paperwork back.Staff not Friendly. what breakfast that was there was awful apart from the croissants well one morning!! the other two mornings not enough croissants. When we asked just got shrugged shoulders. When i went to Reception to ask for Clean Towels and ask why our room was not serviced. Had a Very Nasty response "Because you have not Paid" I responded saying we had already supplied proof.I stay in many places in the UK on a Budget and NEVER had this treatment. This is also RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION!! and Noisy. lift not working and no assistance when we asked

Good sized room but not very clean

    rating15 Oct 2018

Staff friendly and helpful and good location for walking into the city to explore, but cleanliness at a minimum. I had to ask to have my bathroom re-cleaned, as there were hairs not belonging to me in the shower and on the floor. Floors throughout swept but not mopped, and I wasn't convinced the sheets were that clean either.

    It ain't the Ritz Carlton

    rating12 Mar 2017

This is a love-hate joint. Seems that reviews are very polar. I had signed up for a three week stay here without reading the reviews because the price was agreeable and the photos in the online brochure didn't look that bad. Then I read the reviews and panic set in. Crappy rooms, noisy, threatening neighborhood. Lordy, I was going to get my throat cut on my way home or I was going to have to live with a menagerie of bed bugs!Well I'm one week in to my three week stay and ain't seen nary a bed bug. Throat seems intact too. As the title says, It ain't the Ritz Carlton but it's a pretty good value for a longer term stay. I arrived after the desk closed on a Sunday night. Difficulties were some what compounded by no sleep for thirty hours and the misdirection of my luggage to Munich. While the confirmation had instructions for late arrivals, they were not abundantly clear. As you enter the hotel, the closed reception area is on the right. The lock box for your key is on the wall across the lobby on your left. Plug the combination into the box. Turn the thingy all the way clock wise and, voilà , your keys will be in the envelope in the box.I didn't have trouble with the elevator but I'm not on one of the secured floors. My room, a studio, is quite adequate with a kitchenette that was clean and functional. It was actually better equipped than a few gîtes I've stayed at with a whisk, cork screw and a can opener. The overall appearance is a tad worn and grubby but more worn than truly grubby. It is quite quiet. It helps that the room is on the back side of the building opening on a lovely neighborhood park. (Plus there are bomb proof shutter). If there were a lot of noisy neighbors in the hotel it could get bad.The street around the entrance is quite active in the evening. As an old fat male, I have sensed no hostility or threat. it's just an active neighborhood. Over all, I like it. It is a fabulous value for a three week stay. Would I stay here for one or two nights? Probably not. Then again I wouldn't stay at an Ibis either. I'd look for the Ritz Carlton equivalent if I were on expense account.I'll let you know if m'y throat gets cut.

    Horrible, don't ever go there

    rating15 May 2016

We wanted to have a weekend city-break and didn't care much about the room, because we didn't plan to stay inside. So we chose this hotel, especially because it's located near the city centre. Don't let that fool you!! It is near the centre, but it's like a whole different world, full of noise, drunk people, and a general atmosphere of unsafe. Since we travelled on a holiday, there was no one at the hotel that we could contact. They didn't book our parking in the garage as we requested and once we arrived there, there was nothing we could do because no one was reachable. So we had to leave our car on the street, where the drunk "neighborhood boys" used it to put their drinks on it or sit on it. In the middle of the day.. It's an awful place. Just don't go there!!
