Villa Maïa - great choice for a Lyon weekender

A wonderful hotel where nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Quiet lovely rooms, great breakfast, enormously attentive concierge service with intimate knowledge of the Lyon dining scene. Finally, for those of you driving, the security of a 24/7 completely locked garage as part of the hotel and it knowing it is relatively easy to get in and out of Lyon from there. Villa Maïa is on the hill overlooking the city and the old quarter is a 7 minute walk downhill. It’s a bit longer on the way back!

A true "je ne sais quoi" experience

There's something truly special about this hotel. It's going to sound trite, but I honestly cannot think of a single thing I'd change about our stay here. The room itself was borderline magical - we had a garden room, and it was so incredibly peaceful sitting out on the terrace each morning/evening with an espresso, listening to the birds and, somehow, classical music drifting over from somewhere up the hill. The service was impeccable and our concierge, Julien, was so knowledgeable and helpful. Actually the entire staff was very warm and accommodating - specific shout-outs to Luanna for the great service during our check-in and Clement at the hotel bar (try the Fleurie wine, and don't sleep on the bar snacks!).Lyon is an amazing city, but we'd come back just to stay at the Villa Maia. 6/5

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. Julien, our concierge, went above and beyond, sharing insights on Lyon, recommending and securing fantastic dinner reservations, and making our visit truly unforgettable.The entire staff was warm, attentive, and a pleasure to interact with. The lunch was delicious, the breakfast spread lavish, and the spa, along with the pools and sauna, made for a perfectly relaxing experience.A flawless stay. We can’t wait to return.

Excellent experience! From location, staff was incredible with customer satisfaction upfront on everything they do. Friendly environment and very accessible. Funicular close by assisted in traveling back and fourth from the hotel. Will definitely consider coming back and do recommend for anyone visiting Lyon.
