Location

This charming hotel enjoys a stunning location close to the famous Park La Tête d'Or. An ideal location to recuperate from everyday life, the garden affords a zoo, a lake and a botanical garden. This hotel is superbly and quietly located on the famous Boulevard des Belges. A selection of shopping and entertainment venues is to be found here. The commercial centre with a European congress, the Cité Internationale and Interpol is a 5-minute drive away. Facility

The hotel has 88 suites, which are located on 7 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     A very nice hotel in one of the best districts of Lyon; the beautiful Parc de la Tête d'Or is right next door, and the city center is easily accessible from there. I highly recommend this hotel.

    The Reine Astrid is in a lovely, safe, and beautiful area, handy to le Parc de la Tête d’Or. The welcome is warm and service exceptional from all staff members. Our room (one bedroom with kitchen) was very spacious and bathroom well-appointed. The only area for improvement would be higher quality mattresses with cushioning on top as ours was very hard making sleep difficult.     A quick layover in Lyon. The staff was so nice at reception, the bar and during the great breakfast. Rooms were well maintained and very clean. Neighborhood was very nice either way a lovely park close by. It would be fun to have stayed an extended time.     We had five nights staying at this hotel in a Premium Suite which is a one bedroom apartment with a kitchenette. We were on the first floor and although the hotel is on a busy thoroughfare, it was very quiet. The apartment is quite spacious and nicely decorated and well supplied with power and charging outlets. The kitchen is fairly well-equipped, but it lacks a cutting board and is a little tight for space. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows a little less so and the lighting in the living room is much too dim. Although the hotel website does not mention it, there is a laundry washer and dryer available for guests to use. Staff are friendly and helpful and responded very quickly to rectify a problem we had with a noisy air conditioning duct at 9pm one night. The hotel location suited as well because it is not in a “tourist” area, but in a general residential/commercial district and the huge and beautiful Parc Tete d’Or is just across the road. There is a large and useful Auchan supermarket about 250m away and Shouka café on the corner of Rue Vitton and Rue Garibaldi serves a pretty reasonable flat white coffee and nice sweet treats. There are also boulangeries/patisseries in abundance in the area.
