    A lovely stay in Marseille just off the port

    I am late to my review but none the less.... this was a lovely stay for four couples. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the port. The hotel is very nicely decorated including the lovely marble staircase. The rooms were large with a queen bed with plenty of room and well equipped. The breakfast was plentiful with a large selection of cold items, freshly baked goods as well as made to order eggs. There is a spa on the lower floors which was lovely but we did not use it. The bar on the main level was nice to have as well as the outdoor courtyard to enjoy drinks or breakfast. We found that the bar was not always staffed in the evening when we wanted a drink and had to search for someone. In addition the service was quite slow if you sat on the outdoor patio and wanted service. But all in all, I would definitely stay here again.

    This hotel is one of the best boutique hotels we’ve stayed in for years. It not only looks great, it smells great too, like entering a spa.The design is excellent, it brings together the stately elegance of the past and a more contemporary, almost minimalist, style that makes the room feel bright, warm and inviting.The room we had has very high ceilings, was well appointed with very comfortable beds and bathrooms with double vanities, a great shower and a generous bath.The staff were great.     A spectacular hotel! Funky AND chic! And the service, from Elodie and Fernando's immediate warm welcome to all the rest of the staff, simply cannot be surpassed.     First thing, it´s not a 5 star at all.It´s well located, you can access the main attrations on foot.Stylish, calm, clean and the breakfast is above average.Staff a little junior, though.
