Location

This residence lies in Marseille in an exposed location right by the border to Provence. It is directly by where the road to Camargue has been built, a lively city with many interesting highlights and completely differing quarters. Basílica Notre-Dame de la Garde and the old harbour are to be found in the vicinity. This attractive building is situated in a peaceful area and in a shopping quarter, Le Prado, and is located close to the city centre. The inviting beach and turquoise-blue sea is roughly around 100 m away. Various shopping venues, countless bars, cafés, pubs and restaurants as well as many other entertainment venues are to be found in the vicinity (500 m).

    Basic hotel with a large room close to the beach

    We are a family of 4 and we had one of the larger apartment-type rooms - there was a LOT of space which was enjoyed by all. The kitchen was basic and had what we needed to reheat a meal or enjoy a simple breakfast. There was a filtered water machine in the lobby which was great - it also had carbonated water. The towels were OK. We were on the back side of the hotel and it was quiet and calm even though we were on the ground floor. The street was not busy. It was close to the beach and had easy access to the bus system. It was about 1 mile away from any grocery stores so if you needed supplies you either have to walk or go on a short bus ride. The hotel itself looks older and is somewhat run down. The lobby staff was very helpful.

    Apartment was well equipped but maybe a little tired. Stairs to loft bedroom were steep and narrow. One of the power sockets was not working.Staff were very helpful, secure underground parking available. A few minutes from the seafront and cafes and restaurants. 20 minute walk to the Orange Velodrome.     Shabby. Poor breakfast.

    Breakfast was minimal. 2-3 pieces of ham and cheese put out at a time to feed 10-15 people. Had to keep requesting top up. Place was shabby. Staff were friendly enough and helpful. Location wasn’t bad. Five minutes walk to the sea and bus stop.

    Foreigners be careful at check in

    Visited the hotel in July 2024 and it was our first time exploring and visiting France.The check in procedure was a great torture. I paid the entire stay at the moment of the booking and had a confirmation, invoice by email, the bank statement etc.Once we got to the hotel we were asked to pay the full price again!! It took us around 45 min to convince the reception's staff we had paid full in advance. Very unprofessional behaviour, apparently they need a lot more training. My partner and I showed them various confirmation letters, the invoice of the payment itself, yet we were told they didn't have the money in their account. This was entirely their mistake, not ours! So FOREIGNERS must be very careful and keep all their documents tidy and be able to present them in order they find themselves in such absurd situation. We didn't get an apology for the rudeness or the loss of our time once they realised we were right. The room itself was clean, clean bathroom, clean bedsheets and towels. Location very helpful, bus stop 5 min away, the beach 15 min away. The terrace needed attention.     1980s Student halls masquerading as a hotel

    We gladly booked a one night stay here for the rugby an easy 30 min walk away in the Orange Velodrome. Location was our only concern which was handy as the hotel resembled 1980s student halls. First the positives... onsite car park, great views, friendly staff, nice breakfast, clean, nice local area. And there it ends. An odd partial refurb had occurred- new sink, old loo. New headboard, old kitchen cabinets. Fresh painted welcome wall with logo, rusty old balconies and pillars missing paint. Very peculiar. Our chums had a constant drip of water through the ceiling and the solution offered was to lay a towel on the floor. I was lucky enough to have visited the Eastern Bloc before the fall of the Soviet Union so I could appreciate this hotel... my friends however were slightly shell shocked.
