    Very dishonest

    rating09 May 2026

I left my jacket in the room yesterday. I called in the afternoon, but I was told that they had not seen it, which is unbelievable because I definitely left it in the hotel to went straight to another hotel. There is simply no way I lost it elsewhere. When I arrived at the other hotel, I realized my jacket was missing. . I immediately called your hotel, but I was told that nothing had been found. I tried calling the reception again and asked them to check one more time, but they did not even answer the phone. I honestly cannot understand how my jacket could disappear like this. I only checked out yesterday, and the cleaner said she did not see it, which is simply not possible. When I called the second day again, I explained that there are only two possibilities: either the jacket was accidentally thrown away or it was taken by someone. Instead of helping me, the staff became rude and hung up the phone.I really liked that jacket. It was not expensive, but it was a gift from someone who has passed away, which makes it very meaningful to me. I cannot believe this has happened, and I am extremely disappointed by both the situation and the way I have been treated. Carlos Ferreira, Autre at Hotel Marsiho by HappyCulture, responded to this review Dear J Y, We are sorry to read your message and the seriousness of the implications it contains.Following your report, our reception and management teams remained fully available and responsive throughout the entire process. We did, in fact, answer all of your numerous phone calls over a period of two days, and you were able to speak with us on multiple occasions (around ten exchanges in total), including with myself as management. Our housekeeping team, who have more than 10 years of experience and an impeccable record with no incident of theft ever recorded, handled the cleaning of your room on the day of departure. The staff member concerned is fully trusted within our establishment, as are all our housekeeping and reception teams.Your room was carefully checked by both the housekeeping team and myself after your departure, and no jacket was found despite thorough verification. We strongly reject any implication of misconduct toward our staff. Our teams operate with the highest level of professionalism and integrity, and we fully stand behind them.We also note that posting repeated reviews across multiple platforms does not help to resolve the situation in a constructive manner. We remain available and willing to assist in a factual and respectful way in order to properly investigate any verifiable information you may have.Best regards,Carlos - Assistant manager

AWFUL & RUDE STAFF - Stay Anywhere Else!

    rating25 Oct 2025

The hotel itself is very average, nothing special. However, our stay was completely ruined by the shockingly disrespectful and rude attitude of the staff.Let's be clear: the place is mediocre. The breakfast is basic and you have to fight the crowds because there's never enough space. The neighborhood is unpleasant, dirty, and has a lot of homeless and drunk people around. Our room was facing the street and was incredibly noisy; we could hear shouting and music all night, even with the window closed. But the absolute worst part was the receptionist's attitude. The hotel made a mistake: our Booking.com confirmation clearly stated a check-out time of 12:00 PM. Yet, at 11:10 AM, he called our room to essentially kick us out. When we pointed out the error, he was immediately dismissive and arrogant. He blamed Booking.com, saying it wasn't his problem. When my husband explained that it wasn't our fault either that the hotel had posted wrong information, the receptionist responded with unbelievable condescension. He made a ridiculous suggestion about a "time zone error" and said he was already "doing us a favor" by allowing us until 11:30 AM.We were in the middle of getting ready and had to rush out in a state of stress. He showed zero consideration for the major inconvenience his hotel had caused. His final word was, "That's your problem with Booking, not mine."I was utterly shocked. This is the most unprofessional and hostile behavior I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry. This individual is in the wrong profession. He needs serious retraining in customer service, or perhaps he should find a new line of work where he doesn't have to interact with people.Do not waste your money or time here. The average facilities are not worth the terrible treatment you will receive.

    Clean but very small room

    rating10 Oct 2025

May be because we use to stay in nice hotels 3-5 stars I just cant put it higher. Honestly I expected a little but higher level for price paid. May be uts about location but this hotel very high on Marselle list and I can see advantages such as location, its walking distance from old port, it was clean enough and provided free coffee and tea which was great but again if it would be under $100-120 considering very small room no breakfast including, not the best area and no views and that there is no other service than person near front door cant put 4 stars. Taxi stop across rails for tram and you need to walk with your luggage. It's okey but don't trust 5 stars reviews. Carlos Ferreira, Autre at Hotel Marsiho by HappyCulture, responded to this review Dear Kaluga67, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your comments regarding the room size, location, and available amenities. As a 3-star boutique hotel in the heart of Marseille, our aim is to provide a clean, comfortable stay with a friendly and attentive reception team, while keeping our prices accessible. We do not offer additional services such as luggage assistance, as these are beyond the scope of our boutique hotel concept. We are glad you appreciated our central location, walking distance to the Old Port, and the complimentary coffee and tea. Your feedback is valuable and helps us ensure our guests have clear expectations. We hope to welcome you again for another stay in Marseille.Best regards,Carlos Ferreira – Assistant Manager
