30€ on op of you price tag

Just remember that you have no shuttle to the airport. So,you, will need to, pay r/t taxi for around 30€. There is other ibis that have free shuttle. You may need to consider that before choosing between budget and regular. Other wise bring cash, vending machines take cash only, what is a bit idiotic for a hotel. Very correct restaurant in front of the hotel.

    Absolutely adequate, clean and well-priced

I stayed one night at this simple hotel as I had an early flight from the Marseille airport the next morning. The lady who welcomed me was perfectly fine, though the young man who banged on my door at 5:30 am was extremely kind, well spoken, etc. I didn't have a sim card, so they couldn't wake me by phone. The hotel was clean, the shower good, and while very basic, it had all one really required, including American-intensity air conditioning (more than I needed). Restaurant across the street was perfectly fine. The taxi was expensive at the set price of 30 euros, though perhaps that's the cost for taking someone to the airport at 5:45. Driver showed up 10 minutes late, though that's not the hotel's fault.

    SCANDALOUS PRACTICES

    rating25 Jul 2016

It seems to be a budget hotel. It seems you get what you pay for. Nothing could be more wrong. They might add some charges to your bank card, not even informing you about that. They know your bank card details and they use it against you. If you decide to take that risk please check your bank account every day and apply for the new credit/debit card when you back home. This will save your money. I was shocked when I back from my holidays when I saw some additional charge on my bank card from this hotel. You can forget calling them to find out what actually happened. They DO NOT speak English. I reported that hotel to booking.com, I used that website to book a hotel for my holidays. After 2-3 weeks I got information from booking.com that I had been charged for breakfasts. I did not have ANY breakfast at this hotel. Me and my partner rented a car and travelled across French Riviera. We had breakfast every day in different French towns or cities BUT NEVER at this hotel. The hotel has failed to provide me and booking.com with any records from CCTV or just receipts signed by me, confirming I had that breakfasts. They just added additional charge and called it “for breakfasts”. I had to cancel my bank card and apply for the new one, ‘cause there was no guarantee that hotel would not have used my bank card details to take some money away from my account in the future. I would like to warn other people against that hotel. Scandalous, criminal practices!!

Ok rooms but terrible service and no good transport to the airport!

    rating03 Jul 2016

My partner and I had to catch an early flight from Marseille so we book a room in this hotel for one night. The rooms are exactly what you would expect from a budget hotel and are fair value for money, with all that you need for a one night sleep. Upon arrival we asked on reception about transport to the airport, expecting that a free shuttle service is provided. For our surprise such service wasn't offered (my partner had stayed in another Ibis Budget in France earlier on this year and they had such service free of charge). What surprised us most though was the reaction of the person on duty, who said that he's not very sure about transport to the airport . Then he offered us a local shuttle service that according to his words costs 20 EU per person, which then he changed to 10EU. Of course we weren't happy about that and asked if there is any other option, on which he replayed that there is actually a bus that stops in front of the hotel (bus 36) but he doesn't know the schedule or how long it takes. Then we asked about taxi services in the area and he said that there are such and they should cost us around 20-25EU all together. In the morning we went back to reception to book a taxi (another member of staff was there this time). My boyfriend asked her how long it takes and we were surprised to hear that it takes around 10-15 minutes, compared to the " 5 minutes from the airport" stated on the website. What annoyed us the most was the misleading advertisement and the reaction of the staff. My partner is French so none of that was due to a language barrier. It's a bit frustrating when the staff in an airport hotel cannot give you directions and transport information to the airport. Won't be staying here again. Murielle B, Directeur général at ibis budget Marseille Vitrolles, responded to this review We are located 10 minutes from the airport by car and do not have free shuttle service, this information is available at all sites offering our hotel to avoid confusion with the Ibis Budget located at the airport. There are taxis and exceptionally during Euro collective private shuttles. In all cases, call the hotel before booking, we will inform accurately.

    Alright

This is a perfect hotel for an overnight stay, maybe not the most inviting location though. Although it's pretty close to the airport and within walking distance to a car rental. The rooms are okay, maybe a bit small. After all, this is a pretty good low budget hotel, perfect for an overnight stay. Murielle B, Directeur général at ibis budget Marseille Vitrolles, responded to this review Thank you very much for those comments. Your opinion is very important to us. I convey your appreciation to the team.
