  Very good hotel in an excellent location

  This hotel was very good. The reception staff were both helpful and efficient. The room was a good size, nicely designed and very clean. There was also tea and coffee making facilities. The location couldn’t be better on the corner of the old port with lovely views from the window. We walked from the Gare St Charles, but the area around the station is not very good (but we didn’t have any problems) but I would recommend taking the metro which is only two stops. There was one minor criticism. The block the hotel occupies is shared with a McDonalds but that does not affect the hotel.   New Years in Marseille France

  Our visit to Marseille was magnified by our stay at Maison du monde marseille hotel. The front desk and breakfast staff was always available to assist. Their service was beyond excellent. This Hotel is located perfectly on the port near restaurants, shopping, boating excursions, and transportation pickups. The breakfast was the best with yogurt, nuts, eggs, meats, cheese, breads, cakes, quiche, water coffee, and juice. Our room 306 on the port side was of sufficient size, clean and has a perfect view of Port Vieux. The cleaning staff also was also terrific. We were in Marseille for New Years Week and gave the staff champagne and chocolate to take home after their shift. We felt so welcomed like family. Our favorite thing to do after our daily excursion was to sit in the dining/social area and people watch through the large double windows. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Marseille.   Spacious room in great location

  The hotel is right at the port.However we stayed in a separate building 3 mins walk away, as it has bigger rooms.This was a good decision. Room was large, with 1 bed and a sofa bed. These could be separated by a curtain. You also get a kitchen and a fridge. An ideal base for a family. Clean and in a safe area, close to shops and port area. Noise was not a problem, however I would say the aircon was very weak. Not good in the middle of summer.   Great location and clean rooms

  My husband and I stayed at this hotel twice within our 2-week trip. The location of this hotel is great - steps from public transit, old port, and a range of restaurants, Our check-in and check-out were easy and speedy. The staff were very helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We were amazed about how quiet our room was given that hotel is on a very busy street and popular people gathering place by the old port. The hotel provided complementary water infused with lemon or orange or mint. It was nice especially on hot summer days. A few things to note if you plan to stay at this hotel. 1. Unlike many hotels in Europe and Asia, there were no sleepers. No shower cap or the usual bathroom supplies. I assume you can ask the front desk staff for those. We did not. 2. There was no hair conditioner, just shampoo and body wash in our room during our first stay. During our second stay (a different room), there was just one bottle of body wash on the wall. 3. The room was small. Our room during our first stay (room #412) was small but functional. Our room during our second stay (room #111) was very small with about 20 cm space between a wardrobe. You need to move sideways (even for a skinny person) from one side of the bed to other parts of the room and you need to be creative to open the wardrobe door to hang your cloth. Would I stay here again if I have no other choices (e.g., other hotels are sold out).   SUPERB Service , great views and spacious city centre rooms

  Mariam At reception is an utter class act as was Estelle . Really , on the whole the hotel was super . Dècor a tad dated / retro but super location and we’ll be back . We didn’t have breakfast as so many good cafes nearby . There was something rather special about this hotel and … it’s the staff led by delightful young people at reception in particular Mariam and Estelle - without doubt future General Managers !!
