Location

This pleasant beach hotel is situated in a charming peaceful green location. The inviting local beach and turquoise-blue waters are to be found just a stone's throw from the hotel and links to the public transport network lie some 100 m away and can easily be reached on foot. Marseille airport is around 25 km away and the transfer time takes around 30 minutes.

    We stayed 4 nights at the hotel Mercure. Quiet surroundings and good beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice swimming pool, and good breakfast. 30 minutes walk down town, bus L61 can be used, 30 m to the bus stop. Tickets on the bus. At nights, bus 83 or 583 to be used. Good value for the money, we highly recommend this hotel.Torild and John from Norway

    On the booking condition it wrote children till 13 years old accompanied by the parents can enjoy the room and breakfast for free , but when we arrived at the reception the guy saw that we are three but on the booking record we just put 2 adults. he try to sell us suite with 80 euro more for a sleeping sofa. before we stayed with any other hotels with kids it has never happened. we wont come back...

    We chose this hotel given that it offers parking on site and it is well positioned, close to the port and other landmarks, but yet away from all the chaos and traffic.If you have high expectations and looking for North American standards of a 4 star hotel, this is definitely not the place to stay at. We spent most of the time touring the city and its surroundings, so we did not need many amenities and were not bothered with things that were missing or not working.Some of the high points of this hotel were: location (residential and quiet area), onsite gated parking, very peaceful and you cold barely hear other guests, lots of nice trees and plants around the property, comfortable bed, outdoor pool, beach/pool towels, wardrobes and slippers are provided, good wifi, mini fridge stocked with water and pop,very helpful and friendly staff.The low points were: getting to the hotel can be a bit tricky as the entrance is not marked properly. You have to turn into Rue des Flots Bleus to access reception - parking is right behind the gate in front of the reception. Streets are very narrow and bigger cars can be challenging to manoeuvre.We arrived at 5:30 pm and our room was still not ready. We opted for Privilege room, but is was extremely small and dark (ground floor). Wardrobe was size of a kitchen cabinet and there was no space for suitcases. There was no work desk, but only a small round table and one chair. Shower and sink drainage was not very good and there was a very odd smell. There was no iron/ironing board in the room. Some of the lightbulbs were not working. Pool/beach towels could not be changed for clean/dry ones.Breakfast was a bit limited. Scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon were served from very small pans and would not get replenished regularly. There were many pigeons landing on outdoor tables and chairs. Coffee served outside breakfast hours is not free. Pool loungers are limited and by the afternoon they are all taken. The grounds could be kept in the better shape.We would not recommend this hotels for longer stays.

    A hotel with a country atmosphere while being situated not far from the port in the city. The staff was very helpful. rooms were very clean. We stayed there for 2 nights at the start and again 2 nights at the end of a couples vacation. had a very good feeling there. Beautiful central garden for relaxing with a coffee or a good book.

    Nothing to complain about. Meets the Mercure - Accor standards that you might be used to. Comfortable room with all the necessary amenities and functional AC. The pool is nothing fancy but it's great for an afternoon dip or kids. Good continental breakfast with choice of breads, fruits, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc.The lady at reception was very helpful. I arrived much earlier than check-in time and she was kind enough to provide me with a pool towel that I could take to the beach to kill-time.
