  A port in a storm

  There was a huge storm and the airport closed.We managed to find a room at this commercial driver's hotel.Arrived late, but the adjacent hotel.reception was open for us.Small rooms but just what was needed on a stormy night, cosy. There is a breakfast, but we opted.to visit the nearby Grand Frais for some fruit.

  I knew when we booked, that i had not booked the Hilton, but what i didn't realise, was that the room i booked was not as big as the cupboard in the Hilton. From arrival i knew we were in trouble, the check in gentlemen clearing didnt want this job, he was rude, snappy and offered zero help. After he had thrown our door key at us, we they had to climb to the top floor as they place has no lifts. The room was the smallest hotel room i have ever stayed in. The whole room absolutely stank of cannabis and was slightly hotter than the surface of the sun. The flush system on the toilet was broken and the holder for the shower also didn't work. On a positive note, there is another hotel, next door. If i am ever that way again i would prefer to sleep in the trash room in that hotel.

  Ryanair had cancelled our flights and in panic mode we frantically looked for anywhere to stay and came across this place we had actually stayed in an ibis (similar in photos,) in Paris that was like staying on crack ally and I was not 100% well booking this one but needs must and I was so surprised it’s cute as anything clean and cosy everything worked and beds are okay Day staff are plight and helpful all though the night receptionist needed an attitude adjustment rooms have usb points and USBC as well as normal french sockets everything you would need os here AC and fans in our room also 100% happy with my stay Note there is a €100 deposit when you arrive La Direction, General Manager at Premiere Classe Marseille - Vitrolles Anjoly, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for your kind feedback.   Reception was closed and had to use self check-in screen. It didn't recognise my booking reference and was slow to respond and no simple instructions. I was required to pay for breakfast which was already included when I booked online.   I have arrived in the room and the first thing I noticed was the smell of cigarettes, I had to get my key from a terminal, so I was sure there was nobody, besides prior to my arrival I called the hotel three times but the telephone was not answered. I took the cover from the bed and opened the door and sprayed parfum all over in order to get rid of the smell.I noticed that whenever I moved in my bed the smell got back, so I don't have the impression this is a one time occasion and therefore I don't understand why the cleaning staff did not notice this smell.The following morning when I called to talk about my experience the woman made clear that I exagerated and that I could have gone and talk to the reception. For sure I had seen nobody and when the gate for the parking was opened they told me to go to the terminal. I asked her to cancel my second night, and althought I did not receive a confirmation, I hope she cancelled my second night. I found another hotel, paying 10 euro more and am now staying in a nice room that smells normal.First and for sure last experience with Premiere Classe!
