    Extremely disappointing. The hotel does not bear any similarity to the photos on site, in desperate need of a refurbishment. Room smelt of wet dog. Restaurant service was poor, kitchen ran out of food although we arrived 80 minutes before close of service, offered carrot salad and a pizza to share between two. Previous revues said hotel would be refurbished by beginning of this year, this has not happened. Hotel should not be under the Campanile banner. Concerning the restaurant, in fact we had welcomed a lot of people and when you arrived some dishes were out of stock.     Avoid unless you want to smell like an ashtray and get food poisoning.

    Avoid avoid , the worst hotel I have ever been to . I wasn’t expecting a lot at £60 a night but this was awful. Only positive was a lovely friendly trainee on reception . The room stank like an ashtray , the shutter was broken so unable to raise. The shower holder was broken . The sheets were stained. The food at the restaurant was dire. The fillet of chicken turned out to be an undercooked leg with some chips and we were charged €11.95 each . Sent the chicken back as didn’t want food poisoning. My advise would be don’t go!     Simple, ok for an overnight stay.

    Sleep on our way to Italy. Simple and would have rated 4 stars if not for: horrible smell (I think somebody smoked a lot of cigarettes in there) and some lights didn’t work. Bathroom and the beds were clean SAINT AVOLD CAMPANILE, Other at Campanile Saint Avold, responded to this review Thanks

    Poor night sleep and poor breakfast

    Although room was clean it was very basic and poor quality mattress, neither of us had a good night sleep. Booked this en route to Italy. Breakfast was poor - we arrived at 7.30 am for breakfast and we had been beaten by a coach load of Chinese visitors who had eaten most of the buffet breakfast and the waitress did not have any replenishments !! We have already booked in advance for a return trip on our way back from Italy to the uk ....dreading it already !     Unfortunately not the best Campanile

    The pillows were lumpy, the washbasin could do with some bleach, doors did not open easily. When we went for dinner I asked if the quiche contained any peppers, I was told no just courgette, tomato and cheese, when I went to eat some there were peppers in it.
