    Intruders in the night

    rating29 Sept 2025

We stayed in Residence Pierre & Vacances Premium Julia Augusta Roqebrune Cap Martin from the 5th - 6th June 2024,At 3.00am we were awoken by two people with cases using a key to enter our room.We challenged them and they said the Reception has given them the key to ourapartment. After a brief exchange they left our apartment. We are both in oureighties and were frightened and upset by the intrusion. In the morning we spoke to the Manager and she apologised and said that shewould organise a Voucher for us because of the disruption to our sleep and for the intrusion. We returned home to Ireland and still no response or written apology from the manager. We wrote to her again reminding her of what had transpired and her promise. again there was no reply. Guest Relation, Owner at Pierre & Vacances Residence Premium Julia Augusta, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and please accept our sincere apologies for the incident you encountered during your stay at Pierre & Vacances Premium Julia Augusta. We fully understand how distressing it must have been to be awoken in the middle of the night by an unexpected intrusion, especially given the circumstances you described. First holiday with our baby

    rating19 Sept 2025

My wife, 11-year-old daughter, and I stayed here for six nights in early September, and we had a really enjoyable experience. My wife and I had been before as a couple, and although we don’t usually return to the same place twice, we decided this was the best option for our first holiday abroad with our daughter. We already knew the property would be well run and in good condition, as it is managed by Pierre & Vacances, the same company behind Center Parcs, and that reassurance made things easier for us. The apartment itself was comfortable and well equipped. We stayed on the right-hand side of the property, which was fine except that the balcony never got any sun, unlike the apartments on the opposite side. Inside, the apartment had everything we needed, including a TV with Chromecast, which allowed us to stream Netflix and relax in the evenings once our daughter was asleep. We also arranged the free baby package when booking, and this included a cot, highchair, baby bath, and pushchair. Having these items waiting for us was incredibly helpful, though we didn’t use the pushchair as it had no hood and wasn’t ideal for walking out in the sun. The rooftop pool was a bonus, and we made use of it every day. It wasn’t crowded during our stay, it was mostly older couples sunbathing but it suited us perfectly for a quick daily dip with our daughter. The pool is smaller than it looks in the promotional photos, more of a square than a rectangle, so don’t expect to swim laps, but it was still a nice feature. Shopping and supplies were easy to sort out. There is a mini supermarket directly next to the apartments which sells essentials, along with fresh bread and pastries daily. Beyond that, there are plenty of bakeries within walking distance where we picked up fresh bread each morning, and a slightly larger and cheaper supermarket near the train station. Pharmacies are also everywhere, so no trouble there either. Getting around was straightforward thanks to excellent transport links. It’s possible to take the train from Nice airport, made easier now with the new tram system connecting the airport to the station. Because of the extra luggage that comes with a baby, we pre-booked a taxi, which turned out to be the best decision for us. The train service itself was reliable and very reasonably priced, we paid around €4 each to get into Monaco. Even though France is known for strikes, in our experience trains still ran, just slightly less frequently, and they were still on time. Roquebrune is a quiet, relaxed area that felt perfect for families and older travellers. For something livelier, Menton is very close by, and you can also travel easily along the coast all the way from Cannes to Menton by train. The only part of the trip that was frustrating was the booking. The website wouldn’t let us choose a six-night stay, so we had to pay for seven nights, even though we only used six. That said, as we let them know we were arriving early, the staff kindly arranged for our keys to be ready at lunchtime on the Saturday, which was a much-appreciated gesture. Overall, this was a lovely first holiday abroad with our daughter. The apartment was convenient and comfortable, the location was ideal, and everything went smoothly apart from having to pay for an extra night we didn’t use. Despite that, it was a positive and memorable stay.

!!!Terrible experience with Pierre&Vacances Residence Premium Julia Augusta

    rating16 Sept 2024

I would like to share my experience of our staying at the hotel. The reservation process of the travel network is quite convenient. The Pierre&Vacancies company itself has an excellent reputation and reviews. But there is an issue about this particular hotel. The service is terrible and unfriendly to customers. Moreover receptionist was demanding to pay 50 euro in cash during check out for room cleaning, they asked to pay in cash without providing any invoice/document for payment. By the way the room was not cleaned during 9-day stay at the hotel. The security online deposit for the hotel stay was returned by the company Pierre&Vacancies, but a week later it was debited from the account by the !!!hotel without any reason. Therefore, a bank transaction dispute will be opened to return the deposit. Guest Relation, Owner at Pierre & Vacances Residence Premium Julia Augusta, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay. We sincerely apologize for the challenges you faced during your visit. It’s concerning to hear about the service you received and the unexpected charges at checkout. Please be assured that we take these matters seriously. Our team is committed to providing a positive experience, and it’s disappointing to learn that we fell short in this instance. We will investigate the situation with our reception staff regarding the cash payment request and the cleaning of your room.Additionally, we understand the frustration caused by the deposit issue, and we encourage you to reach out to our customer service team directly to resolve this matter promptly. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future. The Pierre & Vacances Team

Poor management no deposit refund still

    rating05 Oct 2023

After 8 days I am still waiting for my 300 euro deposit. This was supposed to be re funded on check out. After numerous calls and emails through booking.com to hotel not 1 reply from hotel and my 300 euros has not been given back and no reason why. The accommodation is good but I just need my deposit back to book another hotel please. Guest Relation, Owner at Pierre & Vacances Residence Premium Julia Augusta, responded to this review Dear, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are deeply sorry that your damage deposit is taking so long to be returned. We are currently reviewing our processes to ensure this does not happen again but the banks take a long time to process. We invite you to submit a request via https://contactariane.com/. We suggest you include a redacted copy of your statement from the time the debit appeared to enable us to investigate more quickly. We thank you in advance for your understanding and wish you a pleasant day.The Pierre & Vacances team

Go for nice facilities so long as you don’t care about customer service

    rating09 Jun 2022

Worst customer service at this hotel I’ve ever had. The hotel and facilities themselves are pretty good and a nice location, the cleaning staff are also friendly and do a good job although I find it odd you have to pay quite a lot to get a room clean when we booked for a weeks stay but we’re not fussy so we didn’t bother. The response I received three weeks after my stay is hilariously copied and pasted from a centre parcs response, which sums up the customer service and they clearly haven’t even bothered to read what I posted. Before I even arrived at the property I had issues getting in touch about a late check in, and later found out the reason I couldn’t call anymore was because after I left a voicemail with my telephone number asking to be contacted, my phone number was then blocked from calling them again! I had to use my partners phone to call again and after three separate telephone conversations I was given different advice about what ended up being a simple 4 digit check in code for the box on arrival but of course they didn’t just tell me that until the DAY we were arriving which I panicked about on the lead up to our holiday as I’ve been locked out of a hotel all night previously. Ps their email address I was given when I called the UK number for Pierre vacancies (they weren’t much help either and it took half an hour to get through) didn’t actually work, it bounced back. The staff that work at the desk are useless and rude and clearly don’t like English people as they sighed down the phone at me when I asked if I could speak to them in English. I felt really unwelcome. Also we were given 4 rolls of toilet paper for a weeks stay which wasn’t enough, and when I asked the desk for another roll they said no so I had to buy a 6 pack from the shop the day before we left for home which I thought was unfair. I read other reviews that said you can get more from the reception desk but the lady at the desk basically laughed at me and said no!
