Great location and good value for money

    rating20 Jul 2025

My friend and I had a really nice experience staying at Citadines. The location is perfect just 7 mins walk from where the Airport Bus drops you off and 10 mins walk into the City Centre. The location is in a nice quiet area and the room was really spacious with comfy beds and good Wi-Fi. I know the hotel don't offer daily cleaning but might just have been nice if they emptied the rubbish and filled up toilet paper on a daily basis but we could of course ask for more toilet paper in the reception. Frederic SALA, Autre at Citadines Antigone Montpellier, responded to this review Many thanks for your kind review. We hope to see you very soon again.

    An Excellent Stay.

    rating17 May 2025

This hotel is well located between the old and new sections of this great city. It offers clean, spacious rooms, with well appointed kitchens and large windows!! Staying here definitely enhances one's experience, as it brings a peaceful niche within a day full of wander and discovery. HIghly recommended!! Cigarette smoke everywhere/smoking on balconies

    rating11 May 2025

So one of the good things is that the hotel is in an excellent location. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel. The area is very quiet, too. Some of the women working at the front desk were not friendly at all. They were not rude, just not very friendly. Since this is the hospitality business, I would have expected more. When we checked out, the lady there just took our keys and said, "Thanks." She didn't ask if we enjoyed our stay or anything. My biggest issue was all the disgusting smoking. Every day, people would stand right outside the back courtyard door and smoke cigarettes. Because of this, the entire lobby area and breakfast room would smell heavily of cigarette smoke. We wanted to hang out and have drinks/eat down there, but the odor of cigarettes was overwhelming. At one point, I even saw a staff member smoking right there in front of the door. The morning we checked out, there were at least five men smoking who were literally standing right outside the back door to the courtyard causing the entire lobby to be infused with cigarette smoke. Our plan was to wait inside for the tram, since it was raining, but we chose to wait outside in the cold rain. Even more dangerous, we saw many people smoking on their balconies. I'm sure that this is not allowed since it poses a significant fire hazard. This is beyond dangerous. The people who were smoking were not even trying to hide what they were doing. Frederic SALA, Autre at Citadines Antigone Montpellier, responded to this review Sorry to see you so disapointed. Do never hesitate to ask the reception for assistance if needed during your stay, our staff would have been able to help and make the rules be respected by other guests. Our property is non smoking area.

Probably give it a miss unless you want a small, dated apartment on a budget

    rating02 Nov 2024

Wouldn't book again. Smells of cigarette smoke and for some reason it's getting stronger as I sit and write this!! All a bit dated in appearance. My colleague got a ground floor room with windows and a balcony/seating area straight onto a passageway towards some restaurants etc, the windows have metal shutters and there's graffiti on the glass used to protect his 'balcony'. Parking at the site is very hard to get into, only suitable for small cars due to the height and extremely tight corners to get in. It's also a nightmare to see where you're supposed to pull in, there is a concrete barrier the length of the road and you basically need to pull in a very specific gap opposite the hotel and cross over some bike and tram lanes. If you miss it then expect to have to drive around in a circle for another 1-2km to have another attempt!! Frederic SALA, Directeur général at Citadines Antigone Montpellier, responded to this review Sorry to see you so disappointed. As you are Anonymized, we unfortunately can't check your reservation and see what could be ameliorated. But after reading your comments, we suppose that the standard units were not the appropriate ones to fit your expectations. A deluxe unit should have been more indicated to satisfy you. As for our parking access, all cars can access as long as they are less than 1.90 Meter Height. if you need assistance to park, we are here to help, but instead of insisting on getting in in one shot, you can easily do a simple manoever to get straight in front and not to have to turn. Hope that this will help.
