  Lovely place, very friendly personnel (and owner!), great location and spotless . Can't fault it!

  14 - 19th September. We can't praise this place enough. From the attentive and friendly service (many thanks to Matthias and Rodrigo) to the location (5 minutes walk to Place de Comedie) and ammenties. The room was quiet.clean and a good size, breakfast very good and the whole place was clean and great value for money. Plus, free parking which is a great bonus. Special thanks to M. Phillipe Sala for letting us use his parking space and Matthias for organising my birthday surpise!   Convenient one night stop

  We booked this hotel last minute; due to an upcoming rail strike we needed to get to Montpellier one day early. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean .You may want to avoid walking alone in this area at night or at least be vigilant. Daytime appeared to be fine, and the area seems convenient and walkable to other areas .   Myself and my family recently stayed in a three bedroom apartment (Denmark). From the minute we arrived, we received really friendly service. The car parking is ideal, our apartment was really clean, spacious with every detail thought of. We had breakfast one morning at the hotel which was great. The apartment itself is very close to the main hotel building which is in a fantastic location.   Great location, lovely staff and well equipped room.

  Lovely reception staff - always on the desk, always friendly. Room was almost perfect - plenty of space for storage (5 nights) and little details like a fridge and a kettle were appreciated. Nice to have an outside terrace on my floor (although it was VERY hot weather) to read in the evenings and watch the swifts! TV easy to use - programme preview window useful - not always the case in some hotels! Very close to the centre and the 'underpass' to access the Place de la Comedie is a very short passage under the road so not something to be concerned about (maybe in the dark alone it might be a little more so but it's very short). 10 mins walk to the centre through an area of budget/fast-food places but never had any issue there and there's a good independent cinema on the same route. Similar short walk to the train station so really well located.Only minor issues: air conditioning seemed set at 25C (still much cooler than outside!) but this was a bit warm for me sometimes - I believe reception can sort this out though but maybe it should have been set a bit lower to start with. Toilet was in a separate cubicle with a door on very creaky hinges and didn't really fit properly, with no internal handle to open and shut it properly.   Bed bugs

  Woke up the first night with bed bugs running on the bed… the staff moved me to another room without taking any precaution to avoid the potential transport of bed bugs to the next room. This is a shame because this is a nice hotel, nice location, nice amenities,… but the lack of concern about the bed bugs was quite worrying… philippe SALA, Propriétaire at Privilege Hotel Eurociel Centre Comedie, responded to this review Hello dear customer Karine for coming to our hotel. Your message on bedbugs is surprising, it is not the hotel that brings them, but the customers, we have changed rooms for you and when you leave we will deal with the 2 rooms cost: 500 euros 2 rooms closed for 15 days loss 3,600 euros. Did Karine deserve this very bad grade? However, you are friendly, contact me to arrange compensation. The management of Tripadvisor is surprised by your message: the bedbugs are the customers' fault, not the hotel's. Kind regards
