    On 30/12/2025 at 12h, I make an internet reservation by All Accord for a room 2 people + 1 dog in Ibis Budget Montpellier north for one night. The confirmation of this reservation therefore indicates that once I arrive at the hotel, I would have to pay 62€, room price + 2.88€ Tourist taxes + 5€ extra pet, i.e. a total of 69.88€. I arrive at the hotel at 18h40 and present myself at the reception where I pay 64,88€ by Mastercard and the friend accompanying me 5€ in cash for the supplement of the dog. Half an hour later, when I went to check my bank account, I had the unpleasant surprise to find that I was debited an amount of 62€ for Ibis Budget at 18h43 and 64.88€ forever Ibis Budget at 18h44! I return to the reception where employee gives me a brief explanation of validation of booking but that this sum of 62€ will be recredited to my account within the hour. Unconvinced, I decide to wait but at 11:50 pm, still nothing I go back to the reception where I have to deal with a friendlier employee but who explains this blow that this sum will be refunded to me on my departure, a kind of deposit. Ah... Nowhere during my booking was there any mention of this! Fees in case of late cancellation, in case of damage and even in case I smoke in the room but I was never informed that a deposit equivalent to the room price would be charged to me in addition! The next day, having returned the room before noon without having damaged anything or other worries, I note that at 6:30 p.m., I am still debited this additional 62€. I call back the hotel where I run into the employee of the previous day who, by a little loquacious, becomes borderline contemptuous and explains to me that it is like this in all hotels and since always! I may tell him that I have been to this hotel 4 times in the last 2 years and that this is the first time I have been given this shot, he tells me that it is not possible (limit if he does not answer that I invent). Trying one last argument so that he understands the absurdity of his reasoning, I tell him that in case my bank account would only have credit of 80€, I could not have had the room since it must be twice the advertised price. That's right, he replies! That I do not ride on gold, that 62€ on my budget in the middle of the holidays put me in difficulty, that is not his problem and he hangs up on me! And the icing on the cake is that I notice that a third debit of 62€ of Ibis Budget was rejected by my bank because, fortunately for me, I had temporarily blocked my card (option allowed by my bank) in the night!. I only validated and entered my code once at the reception on 30/12/2025 for an amount of 64,88€ but Ibis Budget triples the price!l I just filed a complaint against Ibis Budget Montpellier nord because it is purely and simply theft! At no time was it made clear to me that the price quoted was likely to be doubled or even tripled and I have never seen such a practice and bad faith like this!     Clean and very spacious room. Good for the price and the breakfast was really good.I booked a room for 3 and the extra bed was comfy . Only negative is the lack of towels as we only had two small ones. The women at the front desk were welcoming and really helpful.

    breakfast is a disappointmentwhen its budget, then its ok to have a small room, nothing fancy, thats acceptable, but when you cut down on even basic necessity like bathroom slip ons, oh come on, budget thats mean that Magaly Fernandez, Directeur général at Ibis Budget Montpellier Nord, responded to this review Madam, we thank you for taking the time to share your opinion.
