  We stayed at this hotel twice in the space of two weeks. We got the same room both times, 704. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The view is to an internal courtyard and a bit to the skyline of Montpelier, but nothing to write home about. The bathroom shower backs up a bit, which might be a matter of maintenance (or lack of as is often the case in Accor properties). Location is great, mere steps from the Place de Comedie, a mall and tram station. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice but could use less meats and more fruit on offer. I would stay here again given the location.

  The location and welcoming staff have to be main selling points of this hotel and accessibility to the Comedie square and Polygon shopping centre.Arrival in the car was an absolute nightmare and I still can't say how we eventually got there, but somehow managed. You can off load at the front of the hotel, though there is a barrier and you have to ask reception to lift this. Once inside with suitcases, I then left my husband to move the car to the car park next door and he once again strugled to find his way back, but eventually did and then you take the elevator straight down into reception by using your room key. Car park costs 11 euros a day and there is no concession for disability.My first impressions were that the hotel was quite tired looking with badly stained carpets, especially on floor 5. I had booked a superior room with sofa bed, but it did not resemble photos on the web site with lovely art work on the walls and when I questioned this I was informed that not all rooms had this. The walls were painted wood chip, the phone to reception did not work and there were cracked tiles in the bathroom. It had been confirmed on check in that this was an accessible room however a wheelchair would not have fit through the bathroom door. There were only two thin towels and pillows and l felt again that this was definitely a budget hotel.Breakfast the usual affair, though there were some lovely breads and I would like to thank the gentleman on reception who provided us with glasses of ice on request.We did enjoy our stay in Montpellier and there was an interesting flea market on the Sunday morning near the Arc de Triomphe.

  Well located but a major skimping issue

  I've just spent 3 nights at this Ibis Styles. It is located in the middle of town and handy for the old town. The hotel is a bit dated but everything works such as the Wifi, shower, and standard bed for an Ibis. The breakfast was also adequate for a hotel of this grade. As other reviewers have written, our room smelled a bit of sewage. Being Accor Live Limitless members means that we each get one free drink at Accor (Ibis) hotels. When we went to redeem our voucher we were told that we were only entitled to one drink and not one for each of us. When we explained that this is not how it works at all other Ibis hotels I asked her to check again, and she said 'the management here has chosen to opt out of two free drinks'. The relevance for you, dear reader, is just how else is this hotel cutting corners in ways you will not know until you arrive? Good luck!

  Had a great time despite the accident at the airport that made me tour France to arrive here. The staff accommodated my needs, and the room was just what I needed. Great buffet breakfast. The location is between (now under construction) Place de la Comédie (2 min by foot) and the Polygone center (2 min by foot with some steps), the train station or Gare, accessible by 7 min by foot to the right of the hotel. A tram stop is at the end of the street (climbing some steps). Would suggest some bins in corridor, next to the elevator, one more in the room, and the lack of a telephone makes it impossible to reach the reception in case of a guest disturbing you at night, when you are trying to sleep (noise, cigarette smoke).
