  The young fellow at reception was lovely - very nice to chat to and his English is very good. The room (a studio) was clean and tidy - a bit noisy but winding down the shutter helped enormously. The studio was pretty roomy and had a small kitchenette which is always helpful.You have to drive anywhere you wish to go (and believe me that means you do as we don’t mind a good walk). The parking is very good though so driving is not too much of a concern. Breakfast was okay - might be better to just get on the road and eat somewhere else though as it was probably below average compared to others.   Beware! Worst hotel experience ever!

  Beware! Worst hotel experience ever! We booked to stay overnight and had to checkin late because we had a road accident. Although we informed them in advance and they said we will be able to checkin, we just need to show ID card to the security, that guy actually wanted to make a photo copy of my credit card somewhere else, away from me. When I refused (I asked to at least be able to see what he copies) he just locked the door and we stayed 2hours in front of the hotel in the middle of the night with a baby and a 4yrs old... Later I agreed with the photocopy just because I wanted to have some sleep for the kids, entered the apartment where was just one double bed and a sofa, which was not prepared for sleep and there weren't any sheets or duvet cover. We of course paid for 4 people, not for 2! Everything was quite dirty and poor, absolutely not worth the 150€ price we paid.Also, we booked it because it was stated to have a secure parking, but they said parking is full, so we had to park in the middle of nowhere and we were worried for our car as well, as it was a latest mercedes model and the region of the hotel doesn't really feel like a safe one.

  Affordable self catering close to the chateau

  We have spent almost a week in the self catering accommodation. The reception was always friendly, helpful and professional. We have requested a good month before our arrival a room on the top floor with a nice view. The reception fulfilled a half of our request. We got a room on the top floor facing the fire station and they were a bit loud in the morning and evening. Hence, we weren't completely happy with the quietness of the place. The apartment had a little kitchenette which had all basic necessary items for us to cook. The bathroom was a nice size. The room was a good size too. It's about 15 min walk to the tram station, but on the plus side only 200 yards behind the apartment was a beautiful chateau, good wines and beautiful gardens. The journey by taxi from the airport took us about 8 min and costs €29 whilst on a way back we have used public transport, two single tickets are €3.20 for the tram and €3.20 for two tickets on the airport bus. The journey took us about 25 min plus walking to the tram station 15min. Overall, the facilities of the place are reasonable, the town is clean and nice. We weren't impressed with the massage service, was overpriced for what was offered, back massage only €40 per person..for 30min....it was too gentle, it felt rather like stroking not massaging. Unfortunately, the woman doesn't speak English so if you have any pains you can't explain ...your help is Google translate or the reception.   Clean beds, but the dirtiest apartment I have ever visited.

  Firstly the receptionist couldn't find our reservation, but eventually traced it through the request for secure parking. Our room had been given to someone else. We were offered a "Free Upgrade" to a room for four, but there were still only two of us (one double bed), and the dog, which has his own bed, which we take with us. Because it was after 11 pm we slept there, if it had been earlier I woud have gone somewhere else. The "Hotel" appears to be on the edge of an industrial estate.I can find nothing to recommend this place. It appeared to be popular, (as they were fully booked), but doubt if they get much repeat business. Breakfast was extra and quite reasonable compared to some buffet breakfasts. I have stayed in better cheap hotels in India.

  Good value if you don’t want to spend time at the city. The hotel is about 4 km from the city centre, we walked there but you need to walk through an industrial area which is not that nice.We had a car so the location was convenient for us as we drove to nearby beaches for the day.There is also a winery within walking distance from the hotel. The room was basic, clean and modern. Breakfast was very basic.
