    City centre

    rating22 Oct 2023

This city-centre budget hotel is located close to the train station and even closer to a tram stop and is therefore very suited to those intending to use public transport. But on-street parking is very scarce and random. If you are travelling in a small or medium-sized car, you may be able to reserve (EUR15 per day) a lockable slot in an underground car park some 150 metres from the hotel. There is a small lift up a flight of five stairs making the bedrooms accessible to those with minor to moderate mobility issues but unsuited to wheelchair users.Good continental breakfast available for most of the morning.A range of restaurants of varied quality and cuisines is available nearby.Very helpful front-of-house staff.

    Avoid this hotel

    rating07 Nov 2022

My husband and I stayed here during a rail trip through France and Spain. Thankfully we were only here for one night. The room was described as a superior double but did not fit that description. The room itself was quite cramped and the ensuite was unpleasant with broken, hazardous floor tiles and a stained curtain separating it from the entrance area. The safe did not work and one of the bedside lamps was not working. The air conditioning was not controllable by occupants of the room.Various facilities listed in the room description were not provided, e.g. an iron, an adapter, toiletries.A small fridge and a kettle were provided, but no milk for coffee/tea.A sign outside stated that there were no vacancies so we were unable to request a different room. As we were only staying one night, we decided to just put up with all the issues. We ate a takeaway pizza in the room and left the box on the floor by the bin. In the morning, the box had insects crawling in it. After that, we couldn't get out of there quickly enough! After returning home, I raised the issues with the company I had booked with. They tried to reach some sort of resolution with the hotel (ideally a refund) but the hotel would not offer anything. The booking company did provide a goodwill gesture travel credit, which was good of them.We liked Montpellier and will visit again, but we will stay anywhere other than this hotel.

Overall: bad hotel, try to find something else first

    rating02 Feb 2019

The hotel is not bad, not very clean but acceptable. Small room with a small toilet (my friend couldn't even seat without touching the wall). I am allergic to dust and so, I had to sleep with the window open even when it was cold but the other person sleeping there didn't notice anything and was okay with the window closed. The elevator is made for children or something because it is ridiculously tiny, we went up the stairs with our baggage. The price is affordable and comparing to the other hotels in Montpellier, it was cheap. The problem? The man who "welcomed" us when we arrived was very rude, he explicitly told me to shut up at one point when I was asking for directions. We had booked the parking too with the hotel and the explanations on how to arrive to it (it's not located in the hotel) were really bad and he didn't give us the number of the street or the number of the parking within the building. So, after driving for a lot of hours, I had to drive for a half hour to find it, stopping at every door on the street and clicking to see if it opened and, once inside the parking, I had to try every number with the key (it finally was the 30 something). To sum up, after having been talked to in a very rude way, it took us like an hour and a half to park and come back to the hotel and then, when we told him about all what happened, he had the guts to just turn around and say if we wanted to pay for breakfast. He didn't even say I'm sorry for not giving the right directions. Now, of course we did not pay anymore for absolutely anything and if we hadn't booked in advance, we wouldn't have stayed here, that's for sure. Maybe it's just that guy who's rude since the guy in the morning was nice but I'm never returning there. I have returned to Montpellier a few times and I have stayed in other hotels, in the end, I prefer to pay a little more and know that I have something nice when I arrive there. A total nightmare!

Good place to stay, close to the station

    rating13 Jun 2018

Friendly and helpful place to stay. Our room was well equipped and furnished. It could be a bit noisy because it's on a main road, opposite a school. The all inclusive breakfast was good and plentiful.

    Great Location and hospitality

    rating28 Mar 2018

I stayed here for the one night when I first came to Montpellier. Looks like a really old hotel structure but nicely maintained. I have to accept that the entrance and the stairs/lift is way too old but on the nicer part Hospitality of the staff in this hotel is amazing. They treat you very nicely and try to help whenever they can. The breakfast was nice in the morning, i like the cute cafe they have.
