    Very disappointing experience

    We booked a suite. It was a tiny dark, shabby claustrophobic sitting room with very steep stairs leading to a bedroom with a small double bed one side against a wall. We are in our 70s and apart from how horrible it was/ is the stairs and bed were out of the question . There was only one other room ( without a sitting room) which they let us have with no reduction, although they took the car park fee off. The hotel is shabby, understaffed , it needs a lot of redecoration and more staff. The sole excellent barman and receptionist were overworked. Someone is making a lot of money.

    The property is well located next to the city centre but very difficult to stop and unload Arrived on a Saturday around 2 PM .Had to leave my wife in the car since no one from the hotel was available A lone receptionist was so busy on her phone it took her few seconds and me clearing my throat to realize she had a guest waiting Then she could not find my reservation and had to call a colleague on the phone who showed her where to find my reservation BUT not to check me in until she arrives around 3 PM No problem …. Back at 4 to be given my keys by this other receptionist . Going to the room and discover a completely different then the one I booked Back to the receptionist who first claimed my reservation did not specific the room type (junior suite with canal view)… luckily I had a copy and when confronted with it she admitted that my room was given to someone else and they are overbooked !!I ended up in a very strangely designed room with roof top view Breakfast ok I you are coming with a car you must secure a parking spot otherwise forget itSadly won’t be my first choice visiting sete again

    Perfect location in the city center, not too far from the Cimetière marin and Paul Valéry museum by foot.

    We had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely with a view of the canal. (Great soundproofing though!) The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Only downside for us was that the wifi was down during our stay.
