    A summer visit is probably best

    It was going to be a stinking review when we first arrived. It looked like a run down motel, nothing like the photos, I appreciate they were taken in the summer and probably a while ago, it all looked very neglected . The rooms are unusual! We were met with a fake tiger skin rug on arriving which I put straight in the wardrobe, it was a jungle theme with lots of plastic plants and nik naks, we nearly checked back out at that point. I was dreading the evening meal, but to be honest it was good food and good value, the staff were lovely very friendly and helpful. A good nights sleep comfy bed , nice views over trees and river. Breakfast had plenty of choice and overall bill good value! Could just do with a tidy up outside even in the winter.

    Delightful hotel, beautiful setting

    The hotel is in a quiet location, but easily accessible. The attractive gardens go down to the R. Moselle. Nice swimming pool, perfect temperature; towels and slippers are provided. Our room was comfortable and peaceful; the only disturbance was when other guests let their room doors slam. Dinner and brakfast were good and reasonably priced. There were some interesting local wines on the wine list. The stafff were young, friendly and very helpful. All in all the hotel was great value and we would happily stay there again.

    Quiet village but imagine the hotel could be lively if the weather was good. Loved the chickens and the vegetable garden. Pool looked inviting - except it was rarely available as it rained. Breakfast comprehensive and evening meal good too. Nice to sit on balcony

    Rooms dated and bathroom was small. Wasn’t make clear that breakfast wasn’t included. Should charge for what people eat and not a big amount as people may not eat lots.     We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Very clean. The rooms were great and swimming pool at a perfect temperature. The staff were polite and helpful.We skipped breafast as we thought this a bit expensive for what was on offer, however dinner was reasonable value basic but quite tasty. nsavonniere, Propriétaire at Logis Hotel la Maison Carree Rest.
