No hot water
21 Oct 2025
There is no hot water in the rooms of this hotel. There hasn’t been for sometime. They do not warn you when you book and they have no solution. Hôtel La Pérouse, Owner at Hotel La Perouse, responded to this review Madame, Monsieur,Nous vous prions de bien vouloir accepter nos excuses pour cet incident.

Simple contemporary hotel
14 Sept 2025
A centrally located modern hotel. Interesting design on the exterior. Simple and compact room, clean interior, good shower. No kettle or coffee facilities in the room but appreciated the communal tea and coffee station on the ground floor. Friendly reception staff. Good bakery next door for breakfast. Hôtel La Pérouse, Owner at Hotel La Perouse, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed our central location, the design, and the clean, comfortable room with a good shower. We’re also happy that the communal tea and coffee station, the friendly reception, and the nearby bakery added to your stay.We hope to welcome you again on a future visit to Nantes.Aélia - Réceptionniste

Very Bad
30 Jul 2025
Very bad decor + The room is very dim + no kettles + no drawers and all the rooms are separated so you have to walk through the elevator to get to the other rooms. The only good thing is the bathroom. Hôtel La Pérouse, Owner at Hotel La Perouse, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the decor and lighting did not meet your expectations. Our hotel’s design reflects a unique style created by architects, which might not be for everyone.Regarding the absence of kettles and drawers, we have chosen to offer a coffee lounge on the ground floor with a wide variety of quality capsules for a more convivial experience. As for the layout, the separation between rooms and elevator access is part of the building’s original architecture. We appreciate your positive note about the bathroom and hope future stays might better suit your preferences.Best regards.

4star classification not deserved.
03 Jun 2025
Positives: Good bed, linens and pillow. Convenient location, easy for all transport. Pleasant reception staff.Negatives: Very unpleasant odour on our corridor, poor lighting on corridor, very tired decor, bare essentials in room. Water and tea coffee station on ground floor while complimentary is an inconvenience having to leave the room for a glass of water. Would expect 4star hotel to provide cold filtered drinking water in the bedroom at a minimum. Odd bathroom door providing little privacy.Overall would not revisit. Hôtel La Pérouse, Owner at Hotel La Perouse, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for highlighting the comfort of our beds and the convenience of our location. We are glad our reception team made a positive impression. We regret the issues you encountered with the corridor odor and lighting, as well as the décor, which reflects the hotel’s unique architectural style. For water and coffee, we offer a ground-floor lounge with quality options to encourage a relaxed, convivial atmosphere, though we understand it may not suit everyone’s preference.Regarding the bathroom door, its design is indeed unusual but part of the hotel’s character. We appreciate your honest feedback and will keep it in mind to improve our guests’ experience.Best regards.

A comfortable and cozy accomodation in town

Very kind staff, very helpful with the bikes as we were riding on the Velodyssee and needed a safe place for them. The room was neat, tidy, basic modern original furniture, silent place, good for resting, very central position. Best quality/price ratio. We could not want more. Hôtel La Pérouse, Owner at Hotel La Perouse, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for your kind words. We're delighted our team could assist with your bikes during your Velodyssee ride and that you appreciated the room’s comfort and central location. It’s great to hear you found excellent value for your stay.We hope to welcome you back soon!Best regards.
