Location

This attractive city hotel is located at the heart of Nice, opposite the Nice Etoile shopping centre and just 500 m from the nearest beach, the famous Promenade de Anglais, the old town, Massena Square and the pedestrianised area. An array of bars, cafés and restaurants as well as public transport are to be found within 100 m of the hotel. It is around 1 km to Nice Ville railway station whilst the airport is 7 km away. The Isola 2000 ski resort may be reached by car within 2 hours.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1920. Guests have a choice of 66 rooms, including 4 single rooms, located in two 4-storey buildings with lifts. Guests are warmly welcomed by English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Rooms

A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday.     A modern and welcoming hotel very close to the beach and beautiful places to visit, charming streets to wander or shops and restaurants. The superior room was spacious with everything you need and a small but nice balcony above the street. Breakfast is very good, with something tasty and fresh for everyone. Staff are very helpful and friendly at the front desk or in the breakfast room. Clean and tidy everywhere.

    I had a great stay at Hotel Boréal. The location is perfect, just a 2 minute walk from Jean Médecin tram stop which goes directly to and from the airport. The staff were genuinely lovely and very accommodating, we asked for late checkout until 12:00 and it was no problem at all.Breakfast was excellent, with a good continental selection alongside hot scrambled eggs and bacon. The pastries and bread in particular were really good quality.The room itself was modern and very clean. It is on the smaller side, but that didn’t bother us as we were out most of the day. The bathroom is also modern, but my main criticism is the shower design. The glass panel doesn’t extend far enough, so whatever angle you set the shower at, the water ends up flooding the bathroom floor. There’s no raised edge or barrier to contain it.Only one small gripe – the hairdryer was quite weak, to the point where I felt I could blow stronger air myself.Overall, though, it’s a really nice hotel with a great location, friendly staff and a solid breakfast offering.

    Average 3* hotel. Receptionists were polite and attentive. Room was very small and cramped. It looked like it needed a deep clean, especially the bathroom. There was no where to hang wet swimmers, so had to slowly let it try in the bathroom. Could do with a mini fridge in the room. Breakfast was ok - not much variety, especially for a vegetarian and was very limited. Enjoyed our 5 nights here, however, would much prefer to stay in another hotel.

    Small hotel with good value for money. The room is very small, and the shower is very cramped. The breakfast area is also cramped, so we ate outside on the little terrace. The location is very central for Nice, and everything is within easy walking distance.

    Room was clean, but very small. Hotel was adequate for overnight, but would not want to have stayed for multiple nights. Bar area was not available. Continental style breakfast was offered in a sit down area. Food was okay, but limited compared to other experiences during travel. Walkable to local restaurants and the water. Acceptable, but would not stay here again.
