  Central and Convenient, Though a Bit Noisy

  Visited Nice hoping for some winter sun, although it seems the sun had gone on its own holiday!Location: The hostel is in a great spot just off the main shopping street, with supermarkets, bars, and restaurants all a short walk away.Room & Comfort: I stayed in a large mixed dorm (around 12 beds) with an ensuite shower and a separate bathroom. Lockers are in the middle of the room—bring your own padlock. I didn’t find the bed or pillow particularly comfortable.Facilities: There’s a well‑equipped self‑catering kitchen downstairs, but the fridge is so full it’s almost unusable. Everything has to go into identical brown paper bags, so good luck figuring out which one is yours among the hundreds. There’s also a gym, extra showers and toilets, and possibly a laundry area. The bar opens at 6pm with good‑priced drinks, though only snacks are available rather than full meals.Service: I didn’t need much from reception, but on arrival the receptionist wasn’t especially helpful. The bar staff were friendly, and all staff spoke English.Extras: Given the central location, many guests seemed to spend most of the night out, which meant people coming and going at all hours and a lot of noise around 4–5am. The location is both a blessing and a drawback, but overall I would stay here again.   I strongly advise against staying at this hostel. The rooms are dirty and poorly maintained. The people I shared the room with entered with their shoes on, brought food inside, and left dirty clothes everywhere. There is no hygiene or respect for basic cleanliness standards.When I reported the issue, nobody cared. There is no manager available, only front desk staff who cannot help and ignore complaints. There is absolutely no professionalism or proper management.I’ve stayed in many hostels in Nice, in France, and across Europe, and I have never seen a place this neglected. There is mold, bad smells, dirt everywhere, and no cleaning standards at all. Honestly, even a prison would be cleaner and more organized than this place.I truly regret staying here and I want to help others avoid the same mistake. I strongly recommend choosing another accommodation. Please take this review seriously — it comes from a disappointed but honest former guest.   BEST HOSTEL IN NICE

  My first solo journey led me to the wonderful Hostel Villa Saint Exupéry Beach, and it was an experience that surpassed all my expectations! From the moment I checked in, everything was seamless and efficient, even when paying with cash, which was incredibly convenient. The hostel exudes a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel at home immediately. I stayed in a 7-bed room equipped with 4 bunk beds, and surprisingly, I slept like a baby! The hostel staff diligently checks and cleans the rooms daily, ensuring everything stays neat, adding to the comfort of our stay.Moreover, the bathrooms were consistently well-kept, and the air conditioning in the room was a lifesaver! It's these thoughtful amenities that made my stay not just comfortable but truly enjoyable.My time at Hostel Villa Saint Exupéry Beach was undoubtedly the most unforgettable adventure of my life thus far. It's a place so delightful that it alone gives me reasons to return to Nice. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a place with charm, comfort, and a warm, friendly vibe.
