The hotel’s central location (200 metres from Jean Médecin Avenue and 15 minutes on foot from the Promenade des Anglais) assures guests a stay without transportation constraints. 39 non-smoking rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. I chose this hotel based on its location (2 minutes walk from the central train station) and the price. I was not disappointed.It’s a small, but clean and well-managed hotel.My room was a decent size, everything worked and it was well cleaned everyday. I was happy with the breakfast too. What impressed me the most was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. I would definitely choose Hotel Du Midi again if I am fortunate enough to be back in Nice. Great location - very close to train station, tram stop, main shopping street, restaurants, etc. Quiet and peaceful, comfy bed, friendly staff, good A/C. The decor is a little tired but this didn't bother us! We would recommend and would return. This hotel is a good choice for an overnight stay in Nice to enable connecting train trips. It is fairly priced for what it is - a clean, well presented mid range hotel. Bedding, AC and wifi were fine and service was friendly. Breakfast is available but there are plenty of options nearby. Small room with very basic fittings, public toilet style tissue dispenser and soap. Nice big towels and comfy bed and bedding, good pillows.Dated corridors and signs of wear and tear. Room smelt of dogs for some reason. Was clean though although basic. Breakfast was good selection in a cheerful breakfast room. The rooms didn't appear as nice as the pictures. Probably a 20 min walk to the sea front but 2 mins walk to nice ville station. There is a tram to the beach but the walk is pleasant. The old town is beautiful as is the beach. We arrived by taxi from airport 30 mins. Hotel is on a street off Main Street . 20 min walk to the sea. There is a lift. We were on the 4 th floor. Room is very small. The two lights above the bed are held together with tape. The bed is very soft. Maybe a new mattress is due. There is a walk in cupboard which consists of 4 coat hangers and a fridge. That is it for storage there are no drawers no where else to leave your clothes other than in your case or on the floor in a Pile. There is a tv on the wall. Bathroom smelt dreadful not sure if it’s the drains. Toiletries consisted of an individual soap and a liquid soap dispenser over the bath. The plug in the bathroom is cracked and in my opinion unsafe to use. The room breakfast is served in is quiet pleasant. You don’t see any staff everything is self service. Maybe for one day it’s ok but when you are staying for a week it’s not so good. No choice at all. I found the staff I did see very unfriendly never a hello or anything. I could not recommend this place neither would I return. I always leave fair revues the things I would like to read in a review .
