This modern city hotel is situated in the heart of Nice, about 400 m from the beach. There is a profusion of wonderful restaurants in the area surrounding the hotel, as well as public transport, allowing easy access into the city and the tourist centre. There are scores of shops, bars and pubs just steps away from the hotel. It is 7 km to Nice Airport (around 10 minutes by public transport).

Facility

The hotel was built in 1900. 66 rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Other services include a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service and a hotel shuttle bus. Complimentary newspapers are available. Overall a good hotel - we stayed as a group of 3 friends and needed 3 single beds which is not always easy to find. This hotel was a great choice though - very comfortable and quiet rooms and a great location.Would return. What a cool little hotel!! We have stayed in quite a lot of hotels in Nice. We love Nice. We tried Hotel Univers for the first time between March 31 and April 4. It was great 👍. It's a smallish hotel ,very clean, staff great, and nice breakfast. My wife had breakfast every day, I missed most because of late nights and maybe enjoying the old town too much ( WELL!!! ) anyway , they respected the Do Not Desturb sign on the door and were very quiet. Lovely staff. The hotel is a few steps from Place Massena. We would definitely recommend and we would stay again. Thank you Hotel Univers. Mr and Mrs Dwyer.

Very nice hotel, adorable staff and perfect location

A very nice hotel with a perfect location. I had an awful accident in the bathroom where I needed help. The management and the staff were very helpful and kind to me. After surgery they upgraded me to a better room. Maybe they need to put in a handle in every shower to avoid such accidents like mine.Overall a great hotel

Go to hotel beau Rivage instead same price much better..

Had to move here from beau Rivage due to flight cancellation… a disappointment, no way a 4star, the room was tiny, double bed, fridge, no kettle air con unit outside whirring away light coming in from abstract glass on bathroom door, glad to leave, the staff however were helpful
