This charming hotel is located at the heart of Nice around 500 m from the nearest beach. It is just a short walk to the Acropolis congress centre, beautiful gardens and Cours Saleya with its lively terraces. The hotel also lies within a few minutes walk of links to the public transport network, an array of shops in the pedestrianised zone, the famous Promenade des Anglais and the nearest beach as well as the pretty old town. It is 1.5 km to the railway station and some 8 km (15 minutes on public transport) to Nice International Airport.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1850. The hotel has 56 rooms, including 5 apartments, 3 single rooms and 43 double rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom.     I booked a 3-night stay, though I ultimately stayed 2 nights due to missing my connecting flight. Prior to arrival, the hotel proactively reached out with a pre-stay survey, which I appreciated. It allowed me to share preferences and request recommendations. However, none of this was referenced upon arrival, and the check-in interaction felt quite transactional, focused mainly on confirming the reservation and paying the city tax.Given the travel disruption that shortened my stay, I had hoped for a bit more empathy. A warmer, more welcoming approach would have made the experience feel more inviting. The room itself was very small—more reminiscent of a college dorm. The carpet was heavily stained, including one visible mark that appeared as though it could have been removed with proper cleaning. There was also a noticeable plumbing odor at times, and flushing noises from plumbing were clearly audible. Toiletries were minimal, limited to hand soap and a combined shower gel/shampoo.Overall, based on the room condition and amenities, the experience did not align with my expectations of a three-star hotel.     A Wonderful Stay Thanks to Carla at Reception

    I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Vendôme in Nice, and a huge part of that was thanks to Carla on reception. From the moment I arrived, she offered such a warm and genuine welcome that instantly put me at ease — something I really appreciated as a solo traveller.Carla was supportive, approachable, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and her kindness made me feel truly looked after. It’s rare to meet someone who brings such warmth and professionalism to their role, and the hotel is very lucky to have her.     Very cosy hotel. Perfect location, clean rooms, polite staff, especially Anna from the front desk. The rooms are clean, but not particularly spacious. They have a Nespresso Coffee machine in the rooms. Around the hotel is calm. It is valuable for its status. If you don't search for a lavish hotel, this one is a good choice.
