  Very special boutique hotel!

  We have just returned from the most wonderful stay at La Villa. I highly recommend this hotel for its friendly helpful staff, exceptional standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel & lovely buffet breakfast. Our room was a triple on the 3rd floor with cute wrought iron balcony where we enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking the sea in the distance. The location is perfect, just far enough from the bustle of the Promenade des Anglais. Book it, you won’t regret it!   Great staff, super Hotel

  We had a super time staying here.Staff are friendly, helpful & obliging.In particular Vasco at reception went out of his way with superb customer service & a friendly smile every day.Rooms are spotlessly clean & spacious. Lovely toiletries from L’Occitane in bathroom.Location is excellent, nestled between the Promenade Anglais & Rue de France. I have been fortunate to have worked in Nice in a good selection of 5 star hotels and found La villa to be on par with them if not better.Thank you for having us.   Avoid. Room was nice and clean but this is not a hotel. It’s more of a b&b. There’s no facilities of any sort and the breakfast is very poor. At £270 a night you are then asked to pay £5.50 for two fried eggs!!! Shocking. Also the street it’s on has groups of undesirable males sitting around all day and night which gives a very unsafe feeling, hence the security gate to the hotel. The worst part was the noise. Do not expect to get one decent nights sleep here. The noise of trucks off loading and banging doors and crates and people shouting constantly until the early hours of the morning is continuous. The air con doesn’t work, the shower doesn’t get hot and there’s no English tv channels to keep up with the news. All in all this place is not worth the money they’re charging. The final insult was being overcharged by 20 euros for the hotel ordered taxi of which they obviously have a cut from. AVOID!!! While we may have a boutique size and atmosphere, we strive to provide the comfort and cleanliness our guests appreciate — as you kindly noted.Regarding the breakfast, it includes a variety of fresh products, and additional à la carte items such as eggs have a small supplement, clearly listed on the menu.As for the room, during your stay, any issues you reported were addressed by our team, including support with air conditioning. Concerning noise, you booked a street-facing room, located in the city center, surrounded by restaurants and cafés — a lively and typical part of Nice. With windows open, some city noise is to be expected, as in any central urban setting.The taxi ordered at checkout was booked through a professional local service we work with regularly. The price reflected the standard rate for a large vehicle in a tourist city like Nice. We do not apply any markup or receive any commission.Finally, we’d like to reassure all future guests that our hotel is safe, with secure access through a locked gate, and monitored by cameras and reception staff.   Hotel La Villa be weary!

  We stayed at Hotel La Villa 12-16 September 2025. The location was terrible. All day long, there were less than desirable characters hanging around the entrance gate. In the evening, there were homeless living in cars. I wouldn't let my wife walk down the block by herself. A member of our party had his money and credit cards stolen from his room when he was having breakfast down stairs, the morning of our departure. The desk told him that they couldn't help him at all. And that he should submit a police report. There were issues with the air conditioning, when we notified the staff....we were given the run around. While we understand that the surrounding public areas can vary, we must emphasize that the hotel has 24/7 surveillance, security cameras, and a secure gate that only opens to guests with authorized key cards or staff.Regarding the unfortunate incident you mentioned, please note that no hotel staff has access to rooms without the guest’s key, and no unauthorized entries were reported. If the theft occurred outside the room or in a public space, we rightly advised contacting the police — which is the appropriate and necessary step in such situations.As for the air conditioning, we are sorry if there was any inconvenience and if the assistance provided by our team did not resolve the issue promptly.
