    Great location, fantastic views

    rating03 Jan 2026

Let me start with hotel advantages: it has got a unique character, as it used to be a monastery (there is even a church adjacent to the hotel building - not operating any more, though). So you come across statutes of angels and saints now and then. The location of the place is perfect - it's within a walking distance from the old port and the bus stops are right outside in the street. If you come by car - the hotel's parking is quite big, so if you know what parking in Cote d'Azur looks like, you will love it for sure. The views from the southern rooms are stunning - you see every day where the region's name came from. Even if you're not lucky to have such room, you can enjoy the sun & see from the terrace close to the reception. The rooms are spacious, cleaned every day and equipped with an electric kettle to make tea or coffee. We saw many guests with dogs, which means it's also a pet-friendly place. The staff is very friendly, helpful and speaks good English. The only reason I'm not giving 5* is the breakfast - it has not changed at all during our stay. If you're staying there for 2 nights, maybe it doesn't make any difference, but if you're there for 5 days - some variations in the offered breakfast buffet would be great. So all in all, a really good choice for a visit to Nice & surroundings. sylvain boutin, Directeur général at Hotel Le Saint Paul, responded to this review Dear Guests, Thank you very much for your detailed and thoughtful review. Great hotel ruined by mechanised demolition work noise

    rating15 Sept 2025

A lovely clean and beautifully located hotel with fabulous staff and dining completely ruined by the mechanised demolition of building foundations at the base of the building during renovation work next door. The relentless hammering shaking through the entire hotel is horrific, I have never experienced anything so awful. We came here, away from the main town to relax and if the hotel had pre warned us of this we would have cancelled and booked elsewhere. sylvain boutin, Directeur général at Hotel Le Saint Paul, responded to this review Dear Guests,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to read that you appreciated the cleanliness of our hotel, our beautiful location, and the dedication of our staff and dining team.We are, however, truly sorry that your experience was disturbed by the noise from construction works taking place nearby. We completely understand how disappointing this must have been, especially as you were seeking a relaxing stay. These construction works were not announced in advance, and unfortunately we had no possibility to anticipate or inform our guests about this situation, which is completely beyond our control. As soon as we became aware of it (the same time as you hearing the noises), we immediately contacted the site managers to request that they limit the disturbances as much as possible. However, they are under strict instructions from their contractors to proceed with the demolition of the concrete foundations, which makes it difficult to eliminate the nuisance. We fully understand that this may have caused you discomfort, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.Thank you very much for your understanding and patience. It is our hope to welcome you again when our neighbors complete their work.Kind regards,The Saint Paul Team

    Lovely hotel

    rating29 Oct 2024

Stayed here for a meeting and a few extra days with family. The location was lovely. If I had anything negative to say, it's a bit of a walk (30 mins) from much of anything (Old Town, etc.), but it's also right on a bus line that's easy to use. It's right on the water and the view is ridiculously lovey. Hotel breakfast is nice. Ate at the hotel restaurant one night and it was actually very good, much better than I'd expect from a hotel restaurant and frankly better than many nearby places. My room was comfortable, clean, well-maintained, and housekeeping was spot-on. The hotel rate for when I stayed was fantastic. I'd struggle to come up with anything at all to complain about, nothing whatsoever.I'd highly recommend this place and would happily stay here again. sylvain boutin, Directeur général at Hotel Le Saint Paul, responded to this review Dear Mr KEVIN,Thank you very much for your really kind review. It is a pleasure to receive such a positive feedback. The whole team from restaurant, housekeeping and reception cannot be prouder. We will be happy to welcome you again very soon.Best regards from Nice,Sonia - Front office manager

Beautiful view and excellent lunch deal

    rating28 Oct 2024

We came here for lunch and had a delicious meal - everything was flavorful (tasty appetizers of focaccia and squash soup, the main dish of fish was tender and served with mashed potatoes and vegetables, generous dessert with hazelnut cream). The lunch deal during the week cost around 30 euros - very good price-quality ratio, friendly and professional service, and a beautiful view over the sea. sylvain boutin, Directeur général at Hotel Le Saint Paul, responded to this review Dear Guests, Thank you very much for your nice comment, we are really glad you enjoyed your experience in Le Saint Paul restaurant. It has been a pleasure welcoming you, are we are looking forward to seeing you again.Best regards,Sonia - Front office manager
