Situated in the heart of the city on the Avenue Notre Dame, opposite the church of the same name, this hotel is close to the pedestrian zone where guests will be able to explore a diverse selection of shopping venues and bars. Promenade des Anglais and the beach are only around 10 minutes away on foot. Links to the public transport network are to be found directly by the hotel and the transfer time to the airport takes around 20 minutes.

Facility

198 rooms are available to guests in an 8-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift.     4 night stay. Hotel is a well used city centre hotel. Ideal location for exploring Nice as all attractions within in a 15min walk. Rooms are adequate with all you need, plenty storage in the wardrobes for clothes. The beds are hard but we still managed to sleep every night. We were room only so I'm unable to comment on the breakfast. Staff are friendly and we're able to answer questions when needed.

    We booked because of the rooftop pool - but we never swam in it. Checked it out on our first day and never saw it again. We went to the beach instead. Beach is amazingHotel is a 15 min walk to the beach, less than 10 mins to the train station and about 20 mins to Old Town. We walked everywhere - didn’t use the tram at allBreakfast was very good - lots of choice. Room was very large with a verandah that overlooked the street/church. Room had everything you need. Hotel is a bit dated and old. Hallways are showing their age - chipped paint everywhere. The door to our room was the same - needed repainting. The bathroom is a horrible brown that was fashionable 500 years ago apparently. Lifts are old and daggy. Pool area also looked like it needed a revamp - looking a bit old and tired. We were annoyed that check in is at 3 pm - but we had to wait till 3.45 pm because our room wasn’t ready.Probably won’t stay here again simply because we wouldn’t make use of the pool and we’d stay a bit closer to the beach.

    A very central, clean and well-maintained hotel

    This is a very central, clean and well-maintained hotel, with friendly and competent staff. Breakfast was very good, and you can see the main street (Jean Medicin) from some of the tables, this is very good for people-watching! There is a very nice garden with chairs up a round staircase opposite from where the breakfast room is. I liked the rather cheery decor of my room. The reception area could perhaps be updated, but I suspect that as the hotel seems to be moving from the brand Mercure to the brand Marriott Bonvoy this probably will soon take place.

    The hotel was in a good location. It was clean, the staff was welcoming. The rooms were spacious and we absolutely loved the rooftop! It contained a pool and gym and a cute area to relax with a bar and options to dine. The decor was nice and there were several areas to hangout. I would recommend this stay.

    Sunset drinks with a view

    We stopped here at sunset for a drink with a view and weren’t disappointed. It’s a great position for sunset and the view across the city was beautiful and golden tinged. We just had one glass of wine each, it was not over priced and the quality was good. There was plenty of Available seating at this time of year and the staff were friendly and services was good with our order being taken and delivered in a very acceptable time frame. There were options of bar stools at the edge of the terrace or low sofas further back
