This historical hotel is located in the heart of Nice, close to the sea (20 m) and affords views out over the Baie des Anges. The hotel offers guests a private garage and a hotel beach. Public transport is just 50 m away and it is 6 km to the airport.

    An old world gem right on the promenade. The building is so iconic lots of passing tourists stop to take photos. We booked a superior room so it was a good size, really comfy bed and a good powerful shower. Had a mini bar too. But the big thing for us was the terrace. On the first floor just above the front door. Great to sit there and watch the world going by on the promenade opposite. And obviously the sea. Great hearing the waves at night. Has a nice - but expensive - restaurant and a small bar which I don’t think I saw anyone in. Good choice at breakfast which you can sit inside or out on the patio if it’s a nice morning. Would recommend.     Beautiful views, but the hotel not quite as beautiful

    We stayed at HOTEL WEST END in Nice and overall had a pleasant experience, though with a few quirks that give it around a 3.5/5 feel.We had two rooms on different floors. The newer room on the 5th floor was excellent - modern, clean, and with a stunning view of the sea, the coastline, and the iconic Hotel Negresco. Honestly, no complaints there at all.Our second room, a triple on the 2nd floor, was in an older part of the hotel. It had a lovely balcony and a certain old-school French charm - almost like stepping back into the last century. We even took the stairs a few times and were greeted by charmingly creaky steps. That said, its location closer to the street and next to a small bar meant it could get a bit noisy at times, even close to midnight when music was playing.The hotel itself is nice, but definitely in a more classic, slightly dated style. If you enjoy the nostalgic side of Nice and traditional French interiors, it will suit you well.We only ate once in the restaurant, and it was perfectly fine. Breakfast was standard for a hotel of this category. One small disappointment was the coffee - despite having a proper espresso machine behind the bar, guests were directed to use the self-service machines in the breakfast area, which felt like a missed opportunity.The location is great and the views are truly beautiful. However, in a city like Nice, we expected just a bit more from a 4-star hotel.Overall, a good stay with a lot of charm - just not quite as polished as it could be.     Repeat visit ...early Anniversary presant

    Just spent 4 dys with you all 6th to 10th April ...came last Yr & just loved Nice & the West end was fab as usual ...we also stayed last Yr...we had a lovely Balcony to sit out on & just take in the views ...breaky was lovely so much choice & the Bees honeycomb !...fruit salad & yogurts are my go to breaky ...hubby was disappointed as no Advocardo & light boiled eggs on toast ...he had thst last Yr. One little niggle was only 1 bottle of water in our room for 4dys ...there was a bit of water left in bottle which we saved ...but House keeping removed it ...!! ...was told we would have to pay for another bottle ! In UK water is put in rooms for every day !Apart from that niggle ...bed superb & everyone so friendly...thank you Westend ..
