Good hotel away from the touristic crowds

    rating02 May 2026

Located in an older building with a modest, unassuming lobby, looked to me more as a 3-star hotel in spite of the 4 stars at the entrance. Maybe it got a 4 star because it has an elevator and it is located near a metro station. The décor and facilities look outdated but the rooms are bigger in relation to the usual small European room size standards and this is a plus. The same goes for the bathroom in my room, whose window gives into the Montparnasse cemetery. Although facing a busy street, its anti-noise windows do block any traffic. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, which does not happen in North America. Our room was a superior room, so this review is based in such a room, which was spacious and where in the bathroom we had two sinks, something positive when you have two males in the room. The breakfast was o.k. including fruits, yogurts, eggs, cheese, jam and juices. Good location with a ton of restaurants and cafés nearby. The metro station near it can take you anywhere in Paris without problems in a few minutes. A Decent Hotel in Montparnesse Area

    rating04 Jan 2026

A very decent hotel near the Gare de Montparnese. The rooms are well appointed. The double beds are equivalent to an American queen size bed, so if you’re used to a king size, get 2 separate beds. The hotel is across from the Metro, so while not in the heart of Paris, it is easy enough to get to the centre. My chief complaint is that when booking our room, we paid for breakfast. But afterwards, I realized that the last morning that we were going to be at the hotel, we needed to leave to get the airport very early — before the breakfast room was open. So I emailed the hotel, asking if the fee for breakfast that day could be refunded, which they refused. I then emailed to see if they could pack us a to-go breakfast, which they also refused. After being at the hotel, and experiencing the breakfast, I saw that they could have very easily thrown some fruit and pastries in a bag for us, which would have made us happy and cost them nothing. And it would have earned them a 5-star review from me. (Incidentally, the breakfast was adequate, but uninspiring and there is a restaurant right next door, should you decide not to eat at the hotel). HOTEL AIGLON, at Hotel Aiglon, responded to this review Dear door60,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are glad to know that you found our location convenient and the accommodations suited your needs overall. However, I am truly sorry to hear about your disappointment regarding the breakfast arrangements on your departure day.To clarify, when you book a rate with breakfast included on our official website, the price is set at €15 per person per day, which is a discounted rate compared to the €20 per person per day if breakfast is added separately. This discounted rate applies to all guests for every day of the stay and, unfortunately, is non-refundable for unused days. On the other hand, guests who initially book without breakfast and later decide to add it can select specific days and guests, and if you cancel breakfast the day before, it can be refunded. Regarding the takeaway breakfast, due to our "Green Key" environmental certification, we are restricted from using disposable packaging. This means we are unable to provide special takeaway breakfast boxes. However, we do offer the option of a coffee and croissant to go from 7am, though I understand this may not have fully met your needs. Our all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast features a wide variety of fresh options served daily by our dedicated team of two waiters from 7 am to 10:30 am (and until 11 am on weekends). The buffet breakfast includes scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, ham, bacon, turkey sausages, smoked salmon, various artisan cheese, various artisan bread, viennoiserie, and crêpes (French pancakes) from the local bakery, cake, various jams, honey, chocolate spread, cereals, milk, orange and grapefruit juice, yogurt (natural and fruit), fruit and fruit salad, a lot of tea flavours from Kodama, coffee in all its forms, hot chocolate, sliced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, salt and savoury butter, among others. We appreciate your comments and will keep them in mind as we continue to look for ways to improve our services. If you have any further concerns or if there is anything else we can do, please feel free to reach out to us directly.Thank you again for your feedback.Sincerely, PaulFront Office Manager

Aiglon Hotel central! Boulevard Raspail. 14thA.

    rating23 Nov 2025

We stayed here for our anniversary. It exceeded our expectations by a lot. We knew the attractiveness of Montparnasse to many Parisians. For us, being able to walk during the various holidays and official ceremonies (for Veterans Day) - “the ‘eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month’ of 1918” - was refreshing. Our early morning walks by the Montparnasse Cemetery, the train station, and, other directions was just what we needed to start our days. The breakfast selection was satisfying. Fresh fruit, grains, yogurts, and cheeses. Sausage, bacon & eggs too. The Montparnasse Tower is certainly “there” in the distant. More importantly for us was the variety of shops, restaurants and attractions in the immediate area. We chose to use G7 to get taxis - suggested by the travel agency - and be able to see the City, above ground. The Catacombs were unfortunately under restoration. That was the only thing missing. Comfortable. Friendly. Restful. Charming Hotel, Well Located

    rating15 Sept 2025

Pleasant hotel, in very nice neighborhood, close to the RER-B for easy transfers to/from CDG Airport. The rooms are quite small, but comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Hotel staff were kind. Lovely cafe and bar next door called Edgar. This is one of my favorite areas of Paris and I was delighted to see the Aiglon still in operation. I last stayed there regularly in the 1990s. Lovely stay in Paris , in this lovely hotel First of all, the staff was brilliant from the reception to the breakfast , they were all very kind and helpful The location of the hotel was very convenient 2 mins away from raspail metro , easy access to Paris train stations and places to visit (20 mins)The family room was very spacious , it felt like an apartment , my teenage daughters were very happy to have their own space Drinking Water is free at this hotel Once your bottles are empty , you get free refills, brilliant It’s a very old building with very narrow corridors and small elevator If like me you are a gym addict, you will be disappointed because there is no gym The breakfast lacks choices so we chose to have breakfast next door Overall it’s a very nice hotel and we would definitely come back again Paul - Chef de Réception - Front Office Manager, Service clients/Réception at Hotel Aiglon, responded to this review Dear Madam,Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience.
