    Avoid if possible, a staff member walked in on a lady who was sleeping, she said this to the staff at reception and was told that if she had of put the ‘do no disturb’ sign on the door it wouldn’t have happened. We had towels that were used to clean up a leak from above our room was folded and put back on the rack.One lady at reception told us only breakfast was served at the hotel, she never told us about the room service.     Very disappointing. We have stayed at this hotel twice, approx. 18 months apart. We decided to give them a second try after our first visit was so-so, and thought maybe it was a one off. Unfortunately, that is not the case. On both stays at this property, we had cleaning staff walk into our room with only 1 second of warning. They knocked loudly and then entered the room with zero chance for us to respond before they just entered the suite. The first time my daughter was getting dressed and the second time my wife and I were in bed! Just absurd and zero consideration for their guests. The cleaning team also put the towels we placed on the floor back on the racks as if they were fresh and clean. We noticed right away because they were still wet from our showers earlier that day! And finally, we left very early last day to catch a train and the front-desk clerk literally chased us down the street to pay the city tax, instead of just applying to the credit card on file at check-in. Then he gave us a lecture how all Paris hotels collect the city tax at checkout, which is demonstrably false. Every other hotel we've ever stayed at in Paris, over dozens of trips does the exact opposite. They collected it upon arrival.We do not recommend.     My family is and I took a vacation to Paris. It was 12 years past that we were in Paris. The city has really changed since we were there and it is so much better now. The city has really improved. We decided to stay at the hotel Ampère and this time it is just amazing! I cannot find a better hotel! The staff is very friendly and attentive to our needs. This hotel is a real gem. I cannot find give you an example. I have a disability that requires the use of a walker-wheelchair combination. When we were walking to lunch one of the bolts on my device cracked off and the entire strut was broken and I couldn’t use it to sit or wheel about. I returned to the hotel and asked if there was a hardware store near to repair the strut. The staff at the desk said that they had a technician who would come and fix it. They called the technician and within 10 minutes he replaced the bolt and nut and repaired the broken strut better than new. I was so surprised to see that the staff and technician could be so kind and helpful to me. The management team at this hotel is to be commend for putting together a friendly, comprehensive team of professional customer service oriented personnel who will help a customer with any problem. You are to be commended on your customer service. To anyone who is interested in a hotel that is a gem of value and great service, I would highly recommend you check out this place for the best hotel in Paris. This place is the perfect place to stay in Paris.     Poor organization, ignorant staff attitude, dirty sheets.

    Firstly, the poor organization of the staff on arrival where they did not know that we had booked an extra night even though it was clearly communicated prior. The receptionist said that we might have to move rooms but prior to arrival we were given assurance that this would not be the case. This was minor compared to what happened next. We had booked a triple room, but the room was only fitted with one double bed. We informed the staff on site but they refused to solve the situation; stating that the housekeeping service ended for the day and instead gave us bedsheets, quilt and pillows to make the bed on the sofa mattress. The quilt was stained and dirty. Bemused and angry, I told the receptionist that never had we been to a 4 star hotel where the staff would tell the guest to make the bed. The receptionist stated that she had other clients to deal with. I have reviewed on their own email communications. No apologies, compensation or any other word. We informed the agent and we were given a partial refund and then we booked another hotel but at such short notice it took us the rest of the evening and through the night to find a suitable place. It ruined the start of the next day as we had a walking tour booked and we were very tired. Absolute horrible experience and would not recommend this hotel. It is not a 4 star hotel and should be downgraded.     A great location with terrific breakfast

    We loved staying at this hotel. While the rooms are a bit old fashioned the location is great if you want a quieter part of Paris. Everything you need is close by and the hotel is very comfortable regarding lounge areas etc. we stayed for six nights and the breakfasts were the best we had in our whole four week trip. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful too.
