  Unfortunately we experienced multiple issues with this hotel. Firstly and most importantly the large family room with balcony we pre booked and paid for was not available on arrival. We were instead given two small studio apartments. We asked to be moved twice but were told no bigger apartment was available. This really impacted on our stay as we wanted a room together as a family and to enjoy use of a balcony in the sunshine. Instead we spent most of the time squashed in one studio, moving only to sleep.Additionally, we experienced the following more minor issues which all add up: no kettle in one room on arrival (so had to ask for) washing machine and dryer out of order twice during stay. Bedding was poor, mattress cover was made of paper, bottom sheet was not fitted so bare mattress regularly exposed which felt unhygienic.Sadly staff didn't seem to make any attempt to resolve the fact we didn’t get the room we booked and were not concerned about other issues raised such as washer/dryer unreliability. They did not seem to care, indeed we felt like an irritation. We received little apology and no offer of compensation upon check out. This would not have made up for our experience, but would have at least acknowledged it. Such a shame as we generally have good experiences of Adagio elsewhere and the neighbourhood the hotel is in is lovely.   Unable to clean room for 4 days after check in.

  Could be a decent hotel if you are looking for a budget option in Paris but let down in one big way. The area the hotel is in is very nice, some good places to eat and drink and the nearby park is great for a morning walk/run.The issue we had was with the cleaning. When I checked into my room (I was changing occupancy with a college) the room had not been cleaned or beds changed. This was despite being told it would be and my college reminding the front desk that this was happening. When I told reception that this was the issue I was instead given a pile of bedding and told to sort the bed out myself as the cleaners wouldn't be back until the AM... fine, it was late, I wanted to get sorted.I was working in Paris and having returned to the room the next day it still had not been cleaned so again I reminded the front desk to promised it would be done the next day... it was not. It took until day 4 of my 6 day stay to have the room cleaned. The room wasn't filthy but it was unpleasant to stay in a room someone else had occupied without bedding being changed/bins being emptied etc... which would really put me off returning.

  Great again but very odd air-conditioning.

  My third stay here for 11 nights in August 2023 and overall another enjoyable stay apart from one thing. When I checked in I was given room 3205 in the back building overlooking a lovely typical Paris street but the air-conditioning wasn’t working and it was hot in Paris in August but within an hour I was moved to another room 2205 one floor below which was fine and the air-conditioning at first appeared to work but never got the room cool. Now here is where the confusion started as I was told that the hotel was no longer air-conditioned but air-cooled or some similar term and it only came on if the air temperature was over a certain amount, 25C I think and it was a government rule to save energy due to the energy crisis but none of the other dozen or so hotel I stayed at in France over the previous three months seemed to have any restrictions with their air-conditioning. I did have a look at the hotels website and I can’t remember now what it actually said but it didn’t say air-conditioning but something similar to that and on my previous stays the air-conditioning worked the way it should.Apart from that the property was as good as before with a spacious clean modern studio apartment with a good kitchen, big fridge, enough space and a comfortable bed once I took the protector off the mattress which just makes me sweat so much. The room has a safe, iron and small ironing board and there is a handy set of scales to weigh your luggage in for €1 in the lobby.The location is fantastic a short walk to the Vincennes metro station where you can buy a day ticket for €8.45 for zones 1 & 2 which covers the vast majority of the areas in central Paris most tourists would want to visit. Vincennes is the start or end of metro line 1 which cuts through central Paris and ensures a seat on the train. The hotel has a small underground parking garage which I used on the night I arrived but was able to find free street parking for the next two nights as in this part of the city parking is free from 5pm to 9am the next morning which was great.The staff as usual were fantastic.Overall a pretty decent stay at a hotel I really like.

  Great stay at the Adagio Vincennes

  Loved my stay at the Adagio in Vincennes. The apartment had everything that was needed, including a large refrigerator/freezer, hob and a dishwasher. My unit was on the 4th floor of building 2, where there was a huge balcony. The location was ideal, across from Chateau de Vincennes in a quiet, upscale suburb of Paris. The metro lines were close by as well as the RER A station. The only issue was the internet was a slow 11 mbps to occasionally up to 45 mbps. It was down for 1.5 days. I think it was an issue with the Provider. It would be nice if there a notice in the lobby indicating the internet outage so guests don’t have to keep asking.   Terrible upkeep. Avoid

  I reported three times across 4 days that the AC was not working. It worked briefly after the first visit but was never fixed after that. The front desk staff were not helpful. Also the shower did not drain and the shower floor felt gritty and dirty. The person making breakfast stopped supplying fresh scrambled eggs 20 minutes before it was supposed to close. This hotel needs new management.
