  Amazing staff, good location. Breakfast needs improving.

  Excellent reception staff. 5 star. We received a super welcome and they are very professional. The hotel lift wasn’t working for the first day but they apologised and it wasn’t a problem for us. The location is great if you are travelling in or out of Montparnasse or Montparnasse-Bienvenue. The rooms are good. Small and cosy but this is ok. Paris rooms are often petit. The room is well equipped but they seem to lack side tables by the bed to put a bottle of water or a phone on. You can feel trains running underground but this isn’t a problem. It’s normal in Paris. We have stayed at many hundreds of hotels around the world with work and we have a ‘soft-spot’ for Best Western. We both commented that increasingly standards are slipping a little.Breakfast feedback. We are vegetarian and were horrified to see the cheese and hams in the same serving container. We arrived at 9 for breakfast and there were no pain au chocolat left and just three croissants. We also saw a member of staff prepare eggs using meat juices and then take the food downstairs to the staff area. The hash browns were sat with cold bacon and eggs. In America or England this just wouldn’t happen. Maybe it is acceptable in France. Allergies and religious cultural needs exist and it would be better to use separate containers to avoid cross-contamination. It would be a great idea to have dedicated foods for vegetarians and vegans, those with dietary needs etc. Dietary info should also be on display. A member of staff had hidden some bacon on a plate in the oven. This was also taken downstairs. I opened up the oven to see what was in side and it was the most disgusting dirty oven I’ve ever seen. Honestly, if there was a health and hygiene inspection I don’t think it would pass. The kitchen area is in need of a thorough clean. We always pick the ‘breakfast option’ with BW but I think this will be the last time. Other feedback, the stairwell at the top of the hotel was blocked with junk. The fire alarm was hidden behind it. In summary, super team, good location for the trains, hotel needs to make some changes to the breakfast. We will stay here again soon purely because the staff are top.   Worst hotel ever don’t listen to the photos and reviews on booking.The lift is so small you can’t fit a stroller even you luggage you gotta find a way to fit it inThe breakfast is a scam don’t pay 15 € on a buffet so small that there is less food Plus they say sound proof rooms that’s a lie you can hear people even if the room is far (and you pay money for these buffs that don’t even work) plus when you enter the room you find the bathroom you to open a fake closet in order to enter If you stumble upon this hotel check the reviews or you get scammed of all your money One thing I can say the service is goodMy review is -1 stars Julia Alemanno, Directeur général at Best Western Hotel Le Montparnasse, responded to this review Dear Sir,I am saddened to hear that you had such a negative experience during your stay with us.Our establishment is located in a typical Parisian building in the Montparnasse district.   I recently stayed at the Best Western Hotel Le Montparnasse and had a great experience. The location is excellent, within walking distance to cafes, shops, and public transport, making it easy to explore Paris. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, with all the essentials for a city stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. While the rooms are on the smaller side (as is common in Paris), the convenience and comfort more than made up for it. A solid choice for a short stay in the city.   First compliment is for Dimitri, who is at the guest services. He welcome us and helped us.during our stay..Such a lovely person.The rooms are quite small.but very clean and modern. Has all amenities despite the small space. Beds are very comfortable . Perfectly located in a very lively area with.many restaurants and bars. Very close to thr metro too. For light sleepers, heads up you could here some noice from the bars downstairs
