  Extremely bad experience. Not worth 4 stars.... TO AVOID

  The location of this hotel is in the much loved 16th arrodissement where my wife and I have lived 26 years ago.The atmosphere of the hotel is outdated. The reception is not visible upon entering the hotel, so there is a lack of human contact and therefore not really welcoming.The room was sold as 18m² but this is exaggerated. The room with double bed was jst tiny and even difficult to move your luggage around;Value for money? NOT at all. We have paid prime rate for a tiny dirty room.The room was very dusty and the bathroom was just disgusting. The white between teh floor tiles was filled with dirt, so it looked black. The bathtub could not be used because the duct was broken. You could not close nor open the duct anymore.The amenities had been used by previous guests: the hair conditioner was half empty.Room at the first floor, street location, means that you hear every noisy motorbike passing by. The walls between the rooms are like paper... you really hear every noise from the neighbors. The elevator was tiny. One person with 2 trunks and it is full... (understandable in old buildings). On our nightstand there was a welcome note from the General Manager (hand signed!!!), who had resigned 11 MONTHS AGO???!!! The note stated that upon checking out a questionnaire could be filled in... of course NO questionnaire was given.Breakfast: extremely slow service. During our 20 minutes presence in the cold breakfast room, 2 tables were full of junk. The Russian speaking lady could not manage it all on her own.I have not met any nice staff in the hotel: very unfriendly and not the correct behavior and appearance for a 4 star hotel... When I asked where the parking was, the evening staff (20:30) answered 'just look on google'.... When I frowned, he corrected his answer.During daytime, 2 members of the staff were just hanging at the reception. Not just sitting, they were hanging. So absolute wrong behavior for a 4**** hotel.The overall service is bad, the quality of the room extremely bad and the cleanliness is disgusting. The hotel belongs to the Blanc Family, specialised in 3 and 4 star hotels in Paris: Hôtellerie Blanc (Blanc-Hotels.com). There is a big need for giving the correct TLC to this hotel: staff training (professionalism, appearance, friendliness and cleanliness is mandatory)!   Hotel is well located. Rooms on small side but comfortable. Breakfast very good and ladies working there are extremely friendly and kind. Would recommend.   I recently stayed at a hotel in Paris and unfortunately it was an experience to forget.On the first night, the shower water was completely cold, with no possibility of having hot water due to a technical problem on their side. While I understand that issues can happen, this caused significant inconvenience and no immediate solution was offered. Additionally, the toilet flush was broken, making the bathroom even more uncomfortable to use.We had paid for a double room, but instead found two single beds pushed together, which is not the same level of comfort or service that was advertised. The shower soap dispenser was empty and was never refilled during our stay.To make matters worse, in the evening we found dirty bags with used towels from other rooms left outside our door in the hallway — something completely unacceptable in terms of hygiene and presentation.The reception staff were unable to provide any useful tourist information about visiting the city and responded in an annoyed and dismissive manner when we asked for assistance.We reported all of these issues and were told we would receive a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill. However, we never received anything.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
