  Insulted by the receptionist

  Room great for the price, considering it was over the Easter weekend, but my partner caught a receptionist bad-mouthing us about one of our cards being declined to her colleague in French right in front of us, thinking we could only speak English. Bit of a shame that ruined the experience quite a bit as you can imagine. She is a white woman with white hair, so any foreign guests be careful, don't give her or her colleagues something to talk about behind your backs...

  Bad booking experience

  Hotel cancelled via email my booking saying they could not use my card. I use this revolut card everywhere. I had enough money on it. Once contacted reception, they could do nothing. They did not care. Suggested to book again.Alright I went to the website, but the room was gone! It was not available. I tried contacting hotel again and spend an hour waiting someone to pick up the phone, but no one did that. Bad experience.   Worst Hotel Experience – Filthy, Uncomfortable, and a Scam!

  This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel stay of my life. The bed situation alone was a complete nightmare. I booked a Superior Double Room, but instead, I was given two cheap single beds pushed together—with no mattress topper—so they kept sliding apart all night. It was impossible to sleep comfortably.Worse, the bed itself was disgusting. The duvet and bedsheets had visible blood stains, along with hairs and dirt everywhere. Clearly, the bedding was never properly cleaned. This is an extreme health and hygiene violation, completely unacceptable for any hotel.When I complained to the receptionist, he rudely dismissed my concerns, saying, “This is the French standard” and refused to change my room. Apparently, all rooms are the same horrible quality!To make things even worse, the hotel held my UK driving licence hostage until checkout (not mentioned anywhere in their policy), and I was forced to clean my own room and take out the trash—something I was never informed about before booking.This place is a complete scam, nothing like the photos online, and should be removed from Booking.com. after if you complain they are not give you any reply.   Everything was okay except the cleaness of the room. There were condom packages and earrings under the bed. Toilet sit was dirty when I arrived and had to clean it myself. Utensils for the kitchen were extremely used, one cup was even broken.   Not happy from the rooms, equipement and facilities are poor, disputable cleaningless everywhere, tear and wear, looks like student dordmitories, constant smell of coocked dishes all over the corridors, needed to ask and negotiate 4 times for assitance, first to provide us the room type we reserved without payng a cleaning fee to spread the beds as we reserved. Then, after 2 nights, from the window's frame was a constant cold air blowing, in a way the curtains were moving, so we needed to argue we need a proper room. If the room is overlooking the boulevard it is also pretty much noisy all the time. Not to mention the technical issue with the WiFi, the cold and windy again reception lobby and the fact we lost around 7-8 hours from out short week in Paris to deal with inconveniences of the property. , Directeur général at Break & Home Paris Italie Porte de Choisy, responded to this review Thank you for commenting on your stay! Everything at Break&Home is designed to offer you peace and quiet! One of our strong points: a brand-new building with excellent insulation and therefore no noise! However, the residence is located in a lively area: just a stone's throw from Paris, with streetcars and shops at the foot of the building. So it's possible that there will be a little noise if you open your window, for example. Admittedly a little annoying if you're not used to it! For your next stay, think about booking a studio in a higher category, as your studio then overlooks a garden and is therefore much quieter.
