Great Front Desk Staff, Amazing View, Unacceptable Room

    rating06 Apr 2026

I hate to leave a negative review when a hotel is trying and the front desk staff has been amazing, but I feel I need to. We stayed here in 2019 and found it quaint with an unbeatable view. This year I really debated because I wanted a nicer hotel, but I couldn’t get this view and location at a five star with my budget. I decided to splurge for the junior suite, excited it would be even better than our cute room in 2019, which was a category below. The room is very rough, extremely disappointing, inferior to our first room. The front desk showed us the only other junior suite currently available and it was up two small sets of stairs that would be difficult for my 71 year old mom. It was kind they would have let us switch, I really feel they were accommodating in trying. In addition to the stairs, the only positives of the second room was level flooring and more furniture, and it was slightly nicer, but still not Junior suite level. I was willing to spend extra to get the suite, but they are booked. While they had a sweet welcome treat, card, and greeted us with a glass of champagne, I regret the decision to stay here again. The room is so bad that it makes the view not even worth it. Instead of enjoying my trip, I find myself dreading going back to the hotel at the end of the day and in tears entering the room. They also advertise turn down service and we’ve not had it either night. Maid service was minimal. Very disappointing. It’s almost a two star room, only cleaner than I would expect a two star. Not worth what I am paying, even for the location and view. Definitely not worth upgrading to the junior suite.

    Beautiful hotel, friendly staff.

    rating04 Apr 2026

This is a lovely hotel in a fabulous location. Right opposite a beautiful park and the Seine, with the Louvre to the left, Place de la Concorde to the right and Metro stations a short walk away. The hotel is full of character and very tasteful. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. There was a coffee maker with good quality pods, and a small fridge, so we bought a small container of cream for the coffee. We had everything we could need in the room, including bath robes, slippers, hairdryer etc. I would have given 5 stars, except there were a couple of things that concerned us. We arrived late in the evening, tired and keen to check in. We had booked on Expedia and pre-paid the bulk of the cost. However, on check in we were asked to pay an additional 3,500 Euros for our stay, which we did not owe. This took some time to clear up and was very stressful as we wondered if we would be able to stay. Later on we overheard a guest at the front desk who had been charged for every item in her mini bar, even though she had not used any of it. We checked our additional costs the day before checking out in case we needed to deal with any issues, but it was all fine. There was one member of staff who really stood out - Louis - he is an absolute star. He was kind, friendly and absolutely lovely. When we were having the issue over an incorrect additional charge, he was very reassuring and made us feel things would be OK. Over the week we stayed there, he was consistently kind, helpful and friendly. On our first day we asked how much breakfast costs, and were told 25 Euros each. This was a little beyond our budget, so we didn't eat the hotel breakfast, until the last day when we found out there were actually two options, and for 10 Euros each we could have coffee and pastries which would have been perfect for us. We had this on the last day and the food was very good quality, fresh and delicious. Every afternoon freshly made cake is served in the lounge area along with hot drinks. The cakes are delicious and a different flavour each day (but not a 'light meal' as the website suggests!). Overall we had a wonderful week staying here and I would definitely go back, it's a beautiful hotel.

Beware - Bait and Switch on Room Categories

    rating21 Mar 2026

Booked a Deluxe Room but placed in a Superior room. We asked the front desk about it twice, and they insisted it was a Deluxe Room. The room we received was the exact same room pictured in the Superior Room description. I would have accepted if they were overbooked, but I didn’t appreciate being lied to. Would not recommend staying here. Marina SARANUT, Directeur général at Hotel Brighton Paris, responded to this review Dear Mr. R.,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are naturally concerned to read your comment; however, we must clarify that your statement does not reflect the reality of your stay. The room allocated to you was strictly in line with the Deluxe category reserved. At no point was a Superior room assigned. Our room categories are defined by specific criteria such as size, layout, features, and location within the hotel. While some visual elements may appear similar across categories, the room you occupied fully met the standards of a Deluxe Room.I have personally explained to you during your stay and addressed your concern. We therefore regret that, despite these explanations, a misunderstanding remains. We also took care to welcome you with complimentary breakfasts and personalized amenities, as part of our commitment to guest satisfaction. We take pride in operating with transparency and integrity, and we do not engage in any form of misrepresentation. We sincerely regret that your perception differs from the experience we aim to provide.Kind regards,Marina Saranut,Deputy Director

Unmatched Views and the Perfect Location for Exploring Paris

    rating14 Jan 2026

Our stay at Hôtel Brighton Paris was incredible. We booked a deluxe room with views of Paris for three nights. Check-in was quick and easy. Our room was clean, spacious, with two very comfortable twin beds, good air conditioning, and a mini beverage cooler. The room included a Nespresso machine, an assortment of teas, and complimentary bottles of still and sparkling water, which were replenished daily. The bathroom was spacious with a walk-in shower, bathtub, and separate toilet room. There were two closets, one with a safe and shelves, and the other for hanging your clothes or storing your luggage. Furnishing and decor of the room fit the ambiance of the hotel, and they were in good condition. The highlight for us was the amazing view of the Tuileries Garden, Musée du Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, and the Eiffel Tower from our French balcony. We enjoyed opening the doors to watch the sunsets and the Eiffel Tower sparkle late at night. You do not need to worry about the noise from the street and the Tuileries Garden, as the two sets of double doors did a great job of blocking it out. A nice touch the hotel offers to all guests in the afternoon is the complimentary tea service in the lobby. They do offer a breakfast buffet and room service, both at an additional cost, but we preferred going to the many delicious boulangeries and restaurants. Location was important to us as we planned to walk as much as possible to take in the sights and explore the picturesque streets and shops of Paris. Being in the 1st arrondissement, the hotel was in a perfect location for Paris’s major attractions and near several Métro stations. During our trip, my sister and I found getting around to be easy. Throughout our stay, the staff were kind and very helpful, and the housekeeping team was excellent. Although it is pricier than other hotels you may find, in our opinion, the money was well worth it for the location, spacious room, view, and guest service that we experienced during our stay. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip back to Paris. Wonderful Week at Hotel Brighton

    rating15 Nov 2025

We are a well-traveled American couple in our early fifties who have visited Paris on several occasions. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Brighton. We stayed for a week in a third-floor Junior Suite facing the courtyard. The room was large and beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and two big windows that opened into the courtyard. Very well appointed with nice touches that make you appreciate that you are staying in a boutique and not a large chain. The room was exceptionally quiet and very clean. Common areas, particularly the lobby, are lovely and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was exceptional. Great service all around. The location cannot be beat.
