  Unexpected Bed Bug Problem During Our Stay

  We stayed at Hotel Chambellan Morgane in July.Unfortunately, we found bed bugs in our first room, so the hotel changed our room.In the second room, we also saw something that looked like bed bug larvae, so we decided to leave the hotel.The hotel later offered to refund 4 nights, but since we stayed only 2 nights in infested rooms and left 3 nights earlier, I requested a 5-night refund, which they refused.Overall, it was a very stressful experience, and I hope they take serious action to solve the bed bug problem.

  The good and the bad

  The room is clean but very small as well as the bathroom. The shower door kept popping open and water leaked all over the floor. Hallway very narrow and dark. Elevator is small. 2 people with suitcases didn’t fit. Staircase very narrow and dark. Great location and quiet street.   How can I rate this hotel lower? Dirty dark and horrible front desk. Messed up our reservation, dirty, old rooms. Hallways that were painted black and the lights always switched off. After my third visit to the front desk after my refrigerator failed, he cussed at me in French. Jordan, the manager promised to help, then disappeared and never called me back after four days of requesting it. Stay away from this dump run by rude unhelpful front desk staff. The only nice people at the hotel are the maids.   Excellent, charming hotel for a lovely, Parisian experience

  This is a wonderful hotel. The location is ideal— a block away from the Charles de Gaulle Étoile (top of the champs Élysées) but on a very quiet, pretty street with no traffic. Near busses, metro stations and of course the Champs Élysées.We stayed there from april 30 until May 5 in rooms 201 and 202. The rooms were superior doubles and they were just great. Not enormous but not too small like so many other small French hotels. Although 201 was close to the elevator, it was quiet all the time and we never heard the noise. It’s true the walls are a bit thin but you don’t really hear anything and everyone was respectful and quiet in the late and early hours. The beds were on the soft side but we were comfortable. Housekeepers were excellent and the rooms were cleaned impeccably every day. Every day when we came back, the rooms looked like we hadn’t been in them yet!The staff were truly kind and thoughtful. Especially Vitaly and Ahmed and really all of them were so nice to us and helpful and efficient in providing anything we asked. The breakfast was fine- nothing spectacular but solid and fresh food. The breakfast room is kind of small so make sure you get there early. Even so, the wait isn’t that long. The waiters were also friendly and helpful- they will make you any kind of omelette and bring your coffee just so. If I had to stretch for something bad then I’d say the carpets were a little old but the rooms were so clean that we didn’t really care. The water pressure was strong in the shower and the toiletries were nice and plentiful. The lobby was elegant and pretty. A lovely little French hotel with a lot of charm. I’d happily go back there and recommend highly. Thank you for a lovely stay.
