  Staff unfriendly, mumbled so couldn't understand them. Apartment very small. Bathroom not very clean.   Very Disappointed, gone downhill!

  Management has gone downhill since our last visit before the pandemic. Front desk is not friendly and they only do the bare minimum. They have not updated the ambassador (2 room) apartment or kept up with maintenance inside the unit very well. Looks exactly the same and has all the same bathroom tub, sink, wall dryer, toilet, appliances, furniture, etc. inside the rooms for almost 15 years now. Beds are lumpy, pillows are uncomfortable, housekeeping barely cleans, especially the floors which will turn the bottoms of your shoes or feet black from all the dirt. I guess housekeeping no longer knows how to mop and thoroughly clean. Sleeper couch is full of stains and the cushions barely stay on. Also, note there is no AC, so since it’s now very hot in the summer months in Paris unfortunately, it will feel like an oven inside the apartment. They only provide small table top fans which barely help. The only positive is it’s close to the metro to see all the attractions and there are some good restaurants within walking distance. This place needs a major renovation and update of the rooms before I would ever stay here again, especially for what they are charging now for this place. Very disappointed!   Challenging laundry

  2 bedroom apartment is big. However, only 1 WC and 1 bath. So if you have many parties like mine (5 pax), then will have to wait to use the bathroom or toilet. Location is good with easy access to metro 1 and 8 which will serve many attractions. The launderette is a big challenge for me. No proper instructions for the specific machine being used on site. Expect to scan a QR code and see a manual which is totally useless as the model is different for the manual and the actual machines being used. The staff are not interested to help with that problem as they will only repeatedly tell you to scan the QR code for instruction. Management could just create a simple instruction. Wash is 5 euros and dry is 4 euros. Payment via an app which you need to sign up for an account.   Poor management, poor communication, noisy and dated rooms

  Look it is what it is - i stayed in citadines trocadero before and was really impressed at quality and size for the price. I went in with high hopes that were quickly dashed - republique called at 9am on the day of stay and said there was a ‘computer fault’ and they are overbooked. They had to move us down the road to gare de Lyon…they didn’t seem to understand that we were there for a funeral and a 15 min detour is actually a v v big deal for us - it meant we couldn’t walk to venue and basically added an hour to our round trip as we had to detour from airport then find a taxi back to cemetery then again back after Ceremony. Anyhow we arrived at gare de Lyon ..maybe 10 min unnecessary length check in again eating into our familyTime. The room itself was like a poorly equipped studio apartment. The cold toilet was near the door…kitchen in the corridor v 80s poor equipment, no where to eat, the bed and pillows were lumpy and it was so noisy - literally you could hear the hoover going in the morning and people walking past. Again check out - not sure why this isn’t a 3 sec thing but seems to take them 5-10 mins to say that’s fine. Anyhow it was a difficult day made worse by poor management then doubly worse by a room that was poor. This whole situation means I won’t book citadines again - I can’t trust that I’ll have a room seems basic ask from your hotel.   Not what I have come to expect of Citadines!

  I have stayed at many Citadines in Europe and this was my least favorite of the bunch and sadly was our longest stay. I was definitely prepared for the lack of AC but having windows open when there were lots of little bugs around did not make for the most comfortable stay. The rooms were VERY run down. The sofa bed was not comfortable, the furnishings felt quite dusty, there were stains on the wall, stove was so old that the labels were worn off, fridge didn't keep things very cool, bathroom was not the greatest (very slippery despite the paper provided shower mat). They room did not come with luggage racks so we kept all of our items in our luggage the entire time... was nervous our entire time that bugs would somehow make their way into our luggage. I am glad that the hotel knows that they are due for renovations because this space is definitely not comfortable for long term accommodations. On the plus side, I enjoyed how convenient location was to both the 1 and 8 line making for extremely easy access to all the Olympic venues.
