Worst stay in Paris in 13 years

    rating27 Dec 2025

I wish I saw the reviews before booking and wish I stayed at another hotel. I went for my birthday and these places MUST BE STOPPED. The rich, those in power and businesses take our money and give us low brow service and think it can continue but it must be stopped. Zenaida at the front desk ruined my trip. I work in hospitality and tourism (my own reviews higher than this hotel) and was met with aggressive rude behaviour when I kindly asked if I could have a double bed as that’s what I booked. But because it was via Agoda or Expedia, it’s not their problem is what she yelled at me in the most unprofessional way. I asked for solutions and what can be done , and when the offer to pay more money came up her tone changed …albeit slightly. I’m 6’2 95kg I can’t sleep in their twin bed, I asked to see the room and saw it was what I wanted but after being berated by Zenaida at the reception. After being told it’s not their problem and after *i* had to go through the motions of finding a solution instead of being offered a solution, I decided to suffer than give them more money. Avoid this hotel. Pay the extra and get a better place. Tulane the African gentleman was lovely, agreed with me and wanted to help but was blocked by Zenaida. It felt homophobic , and lacking love or empathy. So many things could be done to raise this property and make it better and it starts with her, and the strange gentleman in the review you see who continually treated me like I was an uber delivery driver, I had to tell him no I’m staying there. Terrible. Don’t stay here please pay the extra 50€ and go to another place. This place will be closed and I will see to it personally.

Nice location....staff are strange and rude!

    rating29 Oct 2025

Arrived at this hotel after a long delay on the Eurostar, female receptionist was lovely and welcoming. Gave us a twin room (me and my sister travelling) and explained that as we were on the ground floor, we had to lock the windows when we went out. No other rules were told to us, nor did we have to sign any T&Cs. We had a good night's sleep despite the lively terrace cafe next door, and went out, and did so again for the next day too. Breakfast was ok but lacking in protein so as long as you are happy with beige food then you're fine!We did have a problem on Day 2 when the lady from reception burst into the room because she thought we had gone out without locking the window, but had she knocked before opening the door we could have confirmed we were there! My poor sister had just gotten out of the shower and had quite a fright! The issue was Day 3 - we left the hotel as usual and were walking to the Metro when we heard shouting behind us. An older man whom we had never seen before was shouting at us to 'leave our key'. We quickly realised he must work at the hotel. He kept saying if we didn't leave the key he would charge us 50 Euros if we lost it. I explained that no one had told us to leave the key, and as he was a strange man in the street and his attitude was rude and intimidating he wouldn't get getting the key. He pointed at us and then threw his hands up and stalked away. We complained to another male reception staff when we arrived back, who rolled his eyes and joked 'it wasn't the first time' as though there had been run-ins with this member of staff before. He told us to write a note for the Manager (Florence) and he would give it to her. We went to dinner, wrote the note, and when we went back to give it to him THE SAME MAN claimed he had no idea what we were talking about and even then pretended like he couldn't speak English, despite doing so about an hour beforehand!Honestly, it was all very suspect and the staff seem very strange. All a bit dodgy really!

Extremely disappointing and heartless customer service

    rating03 Aug 2025

Extremely disappointing and heartless customer serviceI’m shocked and deeply disappointed by how this hotel treated me as a returning guest. I accidentally booked a 4-night stay for August when I had meant to reserve for September. As soon as I noticed the mistake, I contacted the hotel directly and also asked my travel agent from Expedia to speak with them on my behalf. All I requested was to move my reservation one month ahead or, at the very least, offer me a partial credit or discount — even paying for 2 nights out of 4 would have been understandable. But instead of any empathy or flexibility, I was met with rude and unprofessional behavior from the hotel staff over the phone. One of them actually told me they didn’t care about a bad reputation, and that since they had no guests in August, they “needed my money now.”So now my fully paid room — nearly $800 — is sitting empty, and they seem to think I’ll ever return? The only reason I booked again was because I had stayed here 5 years ago and enjoyed it. But this recent experience showed me that this place is run by people who clearly care more about squeezing money out of customers than creating a loyal, happy guest experience. This hotel has made it very clear: profit comes before people. If that’s the kind of place you want to support, go ahead. But I certainly won’t be back.

Okay experience, not great not horrible.

If it was an option, I would probably give it around 3.5 stars but not 4 stars. I think you get what you are paying for with this hotel - this is basically in the centre of Paris (very close to metro stations, lively bars and restaurants), and in the heart of Montmatre. It is cheap for what it is! The room was okay, it smelled very strongly but I think it might have just been the area we were in. The beds were okay, not fantastic. The walls were very thin and you could hear other patrons who were up until the early hours - even with noise cancelling headphones. The bathroom was not sealed very well and it was flooding, therefore do not leave any clothes on the floor whatsoever. We had to ask for more toilet roll and towels twice, because the cleaners kept coming in and taking them, which we found a bit weird. The hotel held our bags which was nice, but again they weren't tagged. Overall, an okay experience. It is a very budget option but the only hotel in the area that had three beds for this price.

Do not stay here!!! Noise from bars till 5am and extremely rude staff.

    rating07 Apr 2025

Stayed here last weekend for a weekend away in Paris. Arrived late and was greeted by the night porter who knew nothing about our reservation. Was put in room 101 where you have to walk outside to get to your room. We could hear music from all the bars around the area but thought by the time we got back to the hotel it would all be finished. It wasn't. 5am the music stopped. I informed the night porter we would like to be moved for our second night and he obliged. Or so we thought...When we woke up the following morning I told the receptionist our intentions to move room due to the noise and he told us to pack our bags and leave them behind reception. You'd think they would tag the bags with names and room numbers, but no, absolutely nothing. We had to hope our bags were still there when we got back. Other hotel patrons had free access to this room. No safety for our bags at all. We went out the second night and came back to be greeted by the night porter from the previous night who I told we'd be moving room. He knew nothing about this even though I had informed him the night before. He tried to put us back into room 101, to which i refused and this seemed to annoy him. He then took 30 mins to find us a free room. This should have all been sorted the day previous. In room 101 the air con and the fridge did not work. There is absolutely no organisation in this hotel and I would feel unsafe to go back there knowing what I know now.Avoid this hotel at all costs. You'd get a better sleep on the street.
