Situated in the heart of a very lively district where guests will find perfect connections to the public transport network as well as the pick-up and drop-off point for the Roissybus to Charles de Gaulle Airport, this city hotel is in the immediate vicinity of all the world famous boutiques (Hermès, Colette, Chanel), the Galeries Lafayette, Parisian restaurants, cinemas and theatres as well as historical and cultural attractions such as the Musée du Louvre, Tuileries, and Opéra Garnier. Guests will also find it very easy to visit attractions outside Paris such as Euro Disneyland Paris or the Château de Versailles, to name but a few. Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports are both approximately 20 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1920. The hotel has 3 junior suites, 10 single rooms and 37 double rooms, which are located on 6 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a newspaper stand. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park.     Stayed 3 nights with family. Overall the hotel was excellent and very good value. Like a lot of Paris hotels it was small but in every other way was excellent. Very clean, nice simple decor. Breakfast was good & varied. Staff were exceptional and incredibly helpful. Finally the location was wonderful, beautiful area, lots of great shopping and within a short walk of vendom, the louvre & pl.     Great location some issues

    The location is great, within walking distance from many sites, Louvre, D'orsay, opera house. The rooms are small but clean. A light buffet breakfast is available for 18 euros which seemed expensive. Our travel company chose this hotel for us because it had a place to store our bike. The staff was pleasant. The reception area is microscopic so when trying to check in, the small area was already completely full with other travelers and their luggage so we had to leave our suitcases on the street until we could check in and store them. Their is also no assistance with any luggage as there only seems to be one front office person on duty. My only real complaint is that when checking out, they tried to charge us for several mini-bar items we didn't consume. The only thing we could figure out was that the cleaning staff saw in the trash bin the cans of soda and beer and snacks that we had purchased from the marche down the street. If that's the case, there is a real problem if there is a sloppy conclusion that any cans or snack wrappers were from the minibar. Hotel management 101-there should be an accurate daily inventory, complete with brand names of products of every item. We're quite sure the minibar didn't contain ginger beer imported from Jamaica, which is what we had purchased and was in the trash L Daunou, Propriétaire at Hotel Daunou Opera, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.     Where Hospitality Fails: My Worst Hotel Experience

    The worst hotel experience of my life.My mother injured her leg, and I missed the 9-hour window to cancel or reschedule our stay. Despite explaining the situation two days before we’re supposed to check in, the hotel refused to refund the €420 penalty or even allow us to change dates without charging the full amount again. We reached out to Booking.com for support, but even they couldn’t convince the hotel.It’s hard to believe a business can be this desperate — shamelessly pocketing €420 rather than showing a shred of basic decency. We even offered to pay any difference in price to reschedule, but they preferred to keep the full penalty.Bottom line: avoid this place at all costs. They’ll take your money the moment they can.     Great location, nice small hotel

    We stayed with the larger family at this hotel during our visit to Paris Olympics. The location of the hotel is great as you are in walking distance to many local attractions. The hotel rooms are small but practical. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The service is very friendly. Would recommend.     A good place to stay in the opera area

    This hotel is in an excellent spot if you like to take the Roissy Bus from CDG airport to Opera.The many streets leading off Rue de l'Opera are interesting to explore, and the Seine and nearby attractions an easy walking distance away.The room, although small, was very comfortable with provision for everything needed.The breakfast was of a high standard, including good quality bread, pastries and fruit. Most surprising, the coffee machine actually made a superior cappuccino.I am looking forward to returning here.
