  The best time in Paris!

  We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in Paris. The location is truly unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, with easy access to major attractions, charming streets, and plenty of amazing restaurants and bars just around the corner.The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. Our room was spotless, and we really appreciated the daily cleaning service, which kept everything perfectly tidy and comfortable throughout our stay.What made our visit especially memorable was the beautiful anniversary surprise prepared by the hotel. We were welcomed with heart decorations, a balloon, and a bottle of chilled champagne, which was such a thoughtful and romantic gesture.   Don’t expect anything

  If you are going here expecting a wow moment because of the photos expect to be disappointed whilst on staff member the lovely black guy on arrival was amazing it goes downhill from there rooms are tiny certainly not deluxe which we paid for they only say it’s deluxe when bed size is changed apparently not that you paid for a deluxe room and expect that just a bigger bed. And won’t allow air conditioning even though it’s available. We needed it due to cancer and heart attack three weeks prior and wanted to still come as our daughter was 16 on mother day they allowed it first night but with hesitation went back second night and it was all locked off being told it was due to a guest complained of noise we later find out it wasn’t that it was actually due to manager trying to save money in march and making out they don’t have it in in winter even though reviews show other guests having it on in December and January. So after being made to feel we had upset guests we later find it was to save money so they are more than happy to risk a guests health for that. We also found full bins in our rooms not empty only have volume on TV on French channels so don’t expect to be able to relax at night oh and you can’t have the windows open to cool down because the local bars are open late and bin collection is at 6am. Also if travelling with a family don’t expect to fit in breakfast area as it’s all set out for couples and one table of six. Very dated one very small lift for one person Paris we were told is very helpful for people with mobility issues I think this hotel missed that memo. Well especially most of the staff as we couldn’t fault the first person we spoke to or the night man on second night day staff however need some improvement in customer service as it’s shocking but the lady in breakfast area tried her best with what she had to use certainly won’t be back and they also charge tax literally as soon as you walk in. It’s not shown anywhere which is a massive no no as they are supposed to display fees! Also hair on floor in bathroom and bath would not drain when you shower so you are literally ankle deep in dirty wash back 🤢🤮 Service Relation client, Marketing at Hotel de Seine, responded to this review Dear Lucy A,Following your review, we would like to sincerely apologize for not having met your expectations. We were truly sorry to discover such negative feedback online before your departure, especially as our team remains available at all times to assist our guests throughout their stay.As our colleagues explained, and as stated on our website, the cooling mode of the air conditioning is only available during the summer season. During winter, the heating mode is activated, and it is not possible to switch to cooling mode in a single room, as this would create disturbances in other rooms. Our night receptionist turned off the radiator and activated the ventilation mode; however, we sincerely apologize if this did not sufficiently improve the temperature.We had sent you a pre-stay form and did not note any request regarding air conditioning. We only received your request for a special birthday and Mother’s Day welcome, which we were pleased to organize upon your arrival, as this was very important to you and to us.We paid close attention to your feedback and have shared it with the relevant departments. The trash should have been emptied prior to your arrival, and our technician will check and resolve the issue with the English TV channels. Regarding your comments, we would also like to clarify that we strictly follow our policies: all information and photos regarding the breakfast buffet (including its size and the products offered), as well as the fact that our hotel is not accessible to persons with reduced mobility, are clearly available online.Room 44 is indeed classified as a Deluxe room: it measures 22m² and includes a king-size bed, a single bed, and all the amenities described.Our hotel is a typical 19th-century building, and some spaces can therefore be atypical; for example, only two persons can fit in the lift.The city tax is indicated at the hotel entrance, at the reception desk, and online (please refer to your Booking.com confirmation). We also note that this tax remains unpaid, although it is required by law.We fully understand that you may feel disappointed; however, we believe that open communication during your stay is essential as it allows us to respond promptly to any concerns.We regret that your perception of our establishment does not reflect the experience we strive to provide.   Rooms were clean and the staff was very polite. Didnt like that the king bed was really to twins bundled together. Room was smaller than it appeared but its an old building in europe so wasnt offended. Area is great, and for a last minute budget hotel it was perfect.   My husband and I stayed at Hotel de Seine 12 years ago. I am happy to report that it is still a great place to stay. You cannot beat the location, the friendly staff and beautiful furnishings in the rooms as well as the lobby area. If you want a smaller boutique hotel with a more personal touch, this is the place for you.
