    Old world charming hotel with fabulous staff .

    Just back after fabulous four night stay in this lovely old world hotel . Room had double and single bed. Beds were very comfortable and towels changed daily . Staff are extremely helpful and have excellent English . You are a 5 minute walk from museums ( Augustine Rubin) and fabulous restaurants ( le Invalida Napoleon tombstone) . This hotel is central if you have a 3/4 night stay . We went out for breakfast as excellent Boulangerie within 5 mins of hotel . Would highly recommend .     Peaceful area in the heart of the museum quarter

    We came to visit the impressionist wonders at the Musee d'Orsay, L'Orangerie and the Petit Palais among others. All were within a short walk of this calm and beautiful little hotel. We also walked to fine shops around the bon marche, and there are a few nice places to eat nearby. It's a very safe and quiet neighbourhood, and livelier central areas are a short taxi ride or a few metro stops away. Room was very cosy, and staff were wonderful.     Parisian Gem in the Heart of the 7th

    Located within walking distance of attractions, this cute French Hotel is in a quiet, safe, affluent neighbourhood with Patisserie nearby. On-site breakfast room. Our room was very spacious with French decor. Large wardrobe, mini bar. Bathroom has shower and bath. We were in room 2. Exceptional service from the Hotel staff.     Fantastic location!

    Location is fantastic; very close to Les Invalides, Trocadero, Le Petit et Grand Palais, Musee de Rodin and Musee d'Orsay are all with walking distance. This is a sweet, almost boutique hotel. We were there for 6 nights and, as our flight got in early in the morning, our room wasn't ready, but we were warmly welcomed and were happy to leave our suitcases whilst we went out exploring. There are two pharmacies within a few yards of the hotel, a delicious bakery and a small fruit and vegetable market that sells fresh fruit and lovely cheese! The rooms are not huge but definitely clean and comfortable. We discovered a bit of mold behind the curtain on our first night and the hotel staff not only apologized but gifted us a complimentary bottle of wine and moved us to a bigger room the very next day. We met al least four different people working at the reception desk and they are all fluent in English and happy to help in any way they can; thank you Jean, Olivier, Alex and the lady who served the delicious breakfast every morning! Continental Breakfast at the hotel is 15 Euros and includes a basket of fresh baked croissant, pain au chocolat and baguette; also fresh orange juice, yogurt, coffee or tea and a selection of marmalades and butter. There are fruits, eggs and cereal always on offer on the sideboard but we were normally too full to have anything else! This is a period building and, as such, has only a small two person elevator and old pipes which make their toilet flushing system a bit unreliable but we got used to flushing twice and not using a huge amount of toilet paper. The water pressure for the showers is very good and you get lots of hot water immediately; however, you have to be really careful not to flood the bathroom floor and when getting out of the bath/shower, you have to be again careful not to slip as the tub sides are higher than normal. There is hand soap and body lotion in the bathroom and, in the shower, the body soap is also the shampoo so, if you prefer a separate shampoo and conditioner, you'll have to bring your own. Internet service was free and reliable and the TV offers French, English and Italian channels. Also, there is a beautiful small garden, just as you come into the hotel and they do offer a car service to take you to the airport.     We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay at the Hotel de Varenne. Fom the reception we received by Alexey on our arrival, to our departure, we were impressed by the standard of this hotel, its calm atmosphere, the courtesy of the staff, the room furnishings and decor. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning served to our table, all of a very good standard. We have stayed in other hotels in Paris over the years, and this has been the best of all.
