Facility

The club has a lift and features 1093 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Among the standard features of some rooms is a terrace where guests can relax. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. For guests' convenience, units include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a TV, a radio and WiFi provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The hot tub in the pool area promises pure relaxation. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the hotel offers golf. Sport and leisure facilities at the club include a gym and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam and a solarium. A dance club and a nightclub round out the entertainment options.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. The hotel offers a wide range of catering options. Half board and full board can be booked. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available. Vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request.

    Beautiful hotel. Really friendly staff. Character meet and greets were fantastic. Could do with a spruce up but clean and very comfy beds. Air con could be better in lobby.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the parks and surprised by the speed of the roller coasters. Definitely faster than WDW.Major let down was the hotel Disney Newport Bay. The Disney names shouldn’t be associated. The hotel was basically dilapidated both exterior and interior. No AC, extremely warm and uncomfortable. Torn rugs, walls in poor condition, definitely not what one would expect from Disney. Pretty much ruined our vacation since we could not get rest due to room temp and glad we only booked 2 nights. Rate is NOT worth it. Many of the staff in the parks were rude and inpatient. Definitely not welcoming.     Nice stay. Not giving 5 stars as I was expecting it to be better than Sequoia as it’s a 4 star vs 3 star. But actually preferred Sequoia (which we stayed at the March before). For the price difference I wouldn’t say its worth the extra money. We did Compass Club and was disappointed that it was smaller than the Golden Forrest Club at Sequoia. With the size difference of the hotel I was expecting it to be bigger, as was very busy at afternoon tea / breakfast. Also little things like not restocking toilet roll so we had to keep asking!

    Distance from parks is suitable, the decor in the foyer and entrance is beautiful and smells beautiful.Seen many guests who had wheelchairs finding it very difficult to get the lift to the 1st floor/concierge, there are only 2 small lifts in the whole hotel for disability use to the first and only floor to book in and have access to hotel rooms.I was on the 6th floor with balcony - very disappointed to find that the balcony double doors DONOT have a safety catch up above ? Any 2/3/4 years old child can access the balcony at any time.Can’t believe building regulations allow this ? If they had something to stand on such as the stool from the room and dragged it to the balcony they would easily be at risk of falling approximately 80 feet ! The wooden barrier on the balcony is only 1.2 m high ?Barely slept the whole 3 nights worrying about children, and had to barricade the double doors overnight with the dresser just in case my grandson (4yrs) would wake and open the doors, while we were sleeping I have raised my concerns with Disney , title of email “URGENT SAFETY ATTENTION” but they will reply within 12 weeks ? No reply as yet 3 weeks later. The decor is outdated and awful clash of colours! woodwork is damaged and the bath & shower were broken, the television failed many times, heating didn’t work , sink leaked ,and you can not buy cows milk anywhere, no chemist either so be prepared and take more than you need . Can’t say much for the customer service either .Didn’t see any access to first aid , so check with the hotel so that you are aware of facilities.Reminder that the first floor is the entrance , you have to climb a lot of steps to get there if you have a pushchair, or if you have a disability there are two lifts but measure 1 metre square! Disappointed with Disney.

    We adored our trip to Disneyland and highly recommend it. However Newport Bay is in desperate need of an upgrade. We picked it over Marvel as thought our two little girls would like the Disney element more but to be honest we didn’t see characters around so there was no advantage to staying there. The Marvel hotel is closer to the parks and newer so I imagine less grotty. We had to change room during our stay and the staff were very helpful with this.
