  This hotel rarely responds to emails or phone calls. I was & granted a refund due to a family bereavement. After several attempts to get a response, the refund never appeared. Last thing I need at a time like this. Avoid. I doubt they worry about reviews either. It's one way - they take your money, that's it.   I loved this cute hotel. Location was perfect. Easy access to all kinds of public transportation. We could see the Eiffel Tower from our room. Friendly staff. Cleaning of the room was every day.   Just a one night stay on a quick visit for the Paralympics.Friendly and helpful staff. Ryan was especially friendly. Bedroom clean. Tea facilities ok .Shower was just fine.Very comfortable.Good nights sleep.Just what we needed.Easy to get to places.   NO AIR CONDITION!!!! Beware it is uncomfortably HOT and there is just a small fan offered. Stayed 2 weeks and not once was our room attended to. Only reason for 1 star is the fact that its in a good location, very small, smelly and uncaring employees, Stayed during the Olympics and the price charged of $280 a night was a ripp off Helene PICKEN, Service clients/Réception at Hotel Douglas Paris, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. It is important to mention that your room was often occupied late, making daily housekeeping difficult, especially since personal belongings were scattered on the bed, preventing our staff from servicing the room. Furthermore, you left the establishment for more than two days without informing the reception.Regarding the heat, we understand your discomfort and regret that air conditioning was not available. However, we offered complimentary breakfast for the entire duration of your stay as a gesture of goodwill. Additionally, we offered to upgrade you to a larger room, which you politely declined.Please note that our staff is not indifferent; we strive to provide attentive service to all our guests. Your comment about the staff's smelling is in no way justified by our receptionist's remark regarding the noise disturbance during your last night.We hope you recognize our efforts to make your stay as pleasant as possible despite these unusual circumstances.Best regards
