  This was without a doubt the worst hotel we have stayed at in my lifetime. Don't be fooled by the pics. It was supposed to be a Deluxe room that ended up being a tiny disgusting room. There was hair and blood stains all over the sheets. We were given a different room but that wasn't much better. My wife was afraid to even fall asleep. What a horrible experience.

  Excellent 3 star hotel in Montparnasse

  Hotel Du Midi Montparnasse is an excellent 3-star hotel near the 14th arrondissement. I love the location as it is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Paris, but only a €2.5 train ride from any of the city’s attractions. The Metro station is just across the hotel. In fact, Notre Dame is a mere 15 minutes away via the RER. There is a Paul bakery next door for your coffee fix, and Mcdonalds around the corner for your quick bite. Rue Daguerre is nearby with a row of delicious Vietnamese food. There is also a small Monoprix for your grocery needs. The hotel itself is small. 6 stories, with 7 rooms per floor. The receptionists all speak english and are kind. Thank God there is an elevator so we didnt have to carry our bags up. The rooms are surprisingly spacious given that its Paris. We got a triple room (double and single beds). Its clean. The beds and blankets are good quality. Windows have good insulation (since we visited in winter). The bathroom was spacious. Toilet worked well. Hot showers. We had no problem at all. If you like a quiet neighborhood, but accessible to the tourist spots, consider Hotel Du Midi.

  Cold water for bathing ONLY. Horrible attitude on dealing complaint. Unwilling to follow up complaint until requested

  THIS HOTEL HAS NO HOT WATER.The tap in the sink has no hot water, it only has room temperature water. What a terrible experience. On the bath tub and shower, the shower has ICE COLD WATER ONLY. Only the bath tub has hot water OCCASIONALLY. It is giving me cold water while in the middle of my bath.The reception at the front desk on 11 Oct 2025 at night has no intention to solve my problem at all. He tested it has hot water from the sink at the back but refused to solve any of the above problem. I understood it could be beyond what he could do but his attitude and not willing to take the ownership to make the stay better is such terrible way to deal with customer complaint. He came up to my room and found that the shower doesn’t have hot water, he told me to take a bath not shower since then. Unless I requested him to handover it to the next shift to deal with the problem, he would not be doing anything on it.I could see that probably wiring this review is useless on such a hotel and they probably would not do anything, but to show a comprehensive side on what’s going on from my stay is crucial for other tourists to ensure them not entering this horrifying hotel and enjoy a COLD WATER BATH in WINTER TIME. Mark my words and try other hotels but this horrendous hotel.

  Great choice of hotel

  Great location near the metro and RER for easy access to airports and city sights. We had a superior room (with queen bed), which was surprisingly spacious for Paris. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom clean and had a heated towel rail. The room was quiet. There was work being done in the street outside the building, but our room faced the parking and we didn't hear it. Staff were friendly and helpful.

  There were 3 good things about this hotel, the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, the location right next to the RER and Metro was convenient, and the air-conditioning cooled really well. Other than that, the carpet was filthy with multiple stains and needs urgent replacement, I couldn't turn around in the shower it was so small, and I'm not a large person, and probably worst, I was kept awake until 3.30am due to noise coming from the room next door, the soundproofing was so bad. The corridor walls were scraped, and generally the place needs some attention and renovation. On the final day at 10.05am the housekeeping lady knocked on my door, and when I opened I guessed, by her actions, that she was telling me I should have been gone already. I quickly checked with reception to confirm check-out was 11am, and they said that she had likely got mixed up with another family member that had already checked-out. A mistake I understand, but still, not entirely what I needed in the middle of getting ready to leave!
